Put out your cigars and put the bottles of champagne back on ice.

RT @ddayen: on page 12 of the non-fiscal bill the Senate passed, there's a supplemental funding reduction http://bit.ly/i8QC59 #wiunion

15. So they're going to recovene the meeting without letting the Dems know

That's another violation of the open meetings law. There's a subsection that requires that a 12 hour notice after the first meeting ends if they want to call the same meeting....

And so far they haven't.

Well maybe if the dems weren't smoking and joking in Illinois they could have been there.

8. Maybe it is a trick to get the 14 back

And once back - vote on the whole thing.......

13. Totally agree. They don't care about legalities AT ALL. Dem Senators need to stay away!

Nevermind the 14 are shirking their duty. They were elected to be at work and fight for what their constituents believe in, not run off to a motel 6 in a nearby state.

But I thought it wasn't about the money?  How can collective bargaining rights have a fascial impact?!?  :-)

I'm being sarcastic by the way.

I thought they just had to have a quorum if they were dealing with something that SPENDS money. Wouldn't a supplemental funding reduction be considered SAVING money and not SPENDING money?

BS.  The fact it has a fiscal impact does not make it a fiscal bill.  It's only fiscal legislation if it directly spends money or (Probably, which may vary by state) changes tax law.

There you go; trying to confuse the issues/DUmbshits with facts again.
