Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) once again attacked Republicans’ budget proposal on Wednesday, claiming its cuts target “little children” and “poor little boys and girls.” 

He added that the spending bill, which will face a vote in the Senate later on Wednesday afternoon, is “insulting” to the American people.

“H.R. 1 is a mean-spirited bill that would cut the heart out of the recovery that we have in America today,” said Reid. “It goes after little children, poor little boys and girls ... we want them to learn to read.”

Give me a break Reid!! What about the kids who missed almost 2 weeks of school, because of all the teachers protesting in WI?? :hammer:

Summer school students? Let's see how supportive of their teachers they are when their summers are cut short.

They will find a way to get out of that...However, depending when Feb vacation was for them, they might have only missed a week.  Why don't they do these negotiations in the summer when school is out?? I can probably guess that they would get alot  more publicity that way for their cause, while school session is in.

Interesting how Reid can vote to cut off funding for our troops in the middle-east, but then attacks the GOP for cutting funding for something best left up to private corporations. What a liberal.
