Vivian Schiller, NPR's prez resigns after a fellow exec is caught on vid calling the tea party racists.
The resignation caps a tumultuous period for Schiller and comes just two days after she delivered a major speech in Washington outlining her vision for NPR's future. NPR Board of Directors Chairman Dave Edwards, in a statement on NPR's website, said the board accepted Schiller's decision, which is "effective immediately," with regret.

Actually, this is good that Vivian's taking accountability of what her underling said.
As in the Navy, the captain of the ship takes full accountability of those subordinates who screw up. If it's bad, like in the Ron Schiller example, the person at the top has to go too.
Rid the world of vermin. And when it's rotten at the top, you have to lance that boil up there too.
(Mixed a lot of metaphors, but me don't care. I'm a fervent convert to NPR and "All Things Considered".)
