1. It costs less than forcing women to carry them to term who need public assistance
I realize that is an unpopular stance, but from a pure economic standpoint it makes sense. However, I would actually prefer birth control and comprehensive sex ed to be taxpayer funded, thus decreasing the need for abortions except in rare cases where contraception fails.
And there you have it. DUmmies support taxpayer funded abortion to limit the population of blacks just like Margaret Sanger wanted. Most agree with this DUmmie.

Not paying for public assistance is also cheaper than public assistance

Close yer legs, slut!

That it is, DUmmies--but when we turn women into welfare-dependent baby factories (or more insidiously, get "Nanna" to act as a "foster parent" and get even MORE money from the state) it serves no positive purpose. By limiting or eliminating the incentive to crank out more and more children which will create a perpetual dependent underclass, we break the cycle of poverty and strive towards TRUE equality.

I would think that very rich progressives could more than afford to pay for abortions out of their own pockets. It would be like the tax increases that they always clamor for themselves.
Seems far to me.
-
My attitude is if one plays, one should pay.....If you don't want kids, use some sort of birth control, or better yet , a good word is (keyword coming up) NO!!
-
PREMISE 1: Only liberals endorse elective abortions.
PREMISE 2: Liberals want more money for the government.
PROPOSAL: Sell hunting licenses to bag liberals.
BENEFITS:
- Fewer abortions.
- Money coming in, rather than going out.
- Only those advocating elective death peddling need to fear death.
HAZARDS:
None that I can think of.

No. Taxpayers shouldn't pay for abortions! You want one, pay out the $400 or so yourself. And while we are at it, we shouldn't pay for birthing babies either. If the state pays for the birth levy the freaking refund aka EIC and pay it back! Hell, even that is taxpayer money.
My husband had cancer a few years ago and the only hospital in our area that does the test to locate the metastisis was the MUSC state funded teaching hospital. My insurance didn't pay for the test out of network so we ended up with a 2k$ hospital bill. We paid a sum monthly and after 2 years the hospital took some of our state income tax refund to pay it off. Fine with me, I owed it. So do the same with these Medicaid or under/uninsured and instead of giving them a refund.

I'm sorry for your friend seahorse, that is a terrible cancer. Prayers out for them and hopefully they have checked into some trials or charities that can help with the costs.
**excuse the typos and extra words in my post, that topic gets me riled :hyper:**
