Title: Eureka! Finally a Triumph For America's Energy Independence: Oil Hits $100/bbl
Post by: James Cessna on March 08, 2011, 05:48:55 PM
Do you think President Obama is now in partnership with George W. and Richard Cheney?

There is no doubt in the least that Obama is now in partnership with George W. and Richard Cheney.

Now that the price of oil has risen to over $100 a barrel, the oil companies will make record profits this year as the price of gasoline continues to climb. I predict gasoline prices will be at $5.00 a gallon within the next 120 days.

And what will the oil companies do with these profits? Given the recent Supreme Court decision, the oil companies will target the foolish and ill-advised Democrats who are opposed to domestic drilling in the USA. These stupid Democrats will be easily defeated in 2012. The new legislators who are elected to Congress will pass new laws that encourage and subsidize domestic oil drilling in proven reserves across the USA.

The result of this new supply of domestic energy will mean the USA will finally be free of its dependence on imported oil from Saudi Arabia and the other tortured Islamic monarchies who reside in the violent, war-torn Middle East.

Good times and ample energy for all of us will finally be here again! By the way, you might want to hold off from buying that new all-electric car!

You do realize it's a good idea to introduce yourself first, right?  We even have an area for it, right over there: ---------------->

George Bush is retired and living comfortably in the suburbs of Dallas, Texas dipshit. He's not concerned with your conspiracy theories nor is he involved with them. Maybe it's time you liberals realize that Presidents don't control the price of oil; OPEC does.

Actually theres no 'green' to go to ... theres no 'there' .. there.

Instead we are actually going 'red' .. if you get my drift.

No, Obama isn't in league with Bushcheneyrumsfeldhalliburtonhitler.  Obama HATES America and is trying to do everything he can to destroy it from the inside out.  Doing things to inflate gas and insurance prices is just the beginning.

If oil cost wasn't a large-to-huge input to all the 'Alternative energy' forms (Except hydro and nuke power generation plants), yes, the upside of immense oil prices would be that all that alternative garbage would start to become economically competitive (More like at somewhere well north of $200 a barrel for most of it, though).

However, in the real world, the price of all the Buck Rodgers BS climbs right along with the cost of directly burning fossil fuel for energy, just with a more shallow slope.

Not to mention the energy output you get from one gallon of gas. I can move a 5K lb truck with a 3K lb boat 15 miles on one small gallon of petroleum. I know of no viable replacement for a vehicle....at this time. This dude that started this topic also thinks Obama could get us off oil in one night by replacing everything with nukes. Yeah, a bunch of Georgia drivers driving around with nuclear reactors under their hoods. That's what I want to see.  :whatever:

Then you get my drift...it's all about controlling your movements and consumption beyond what's useful to the state.

Yeah...the only way any of those alternatives equate to portable power that can be used for transportation is to either use it to crack hydrogen out of water by electrolysis and then use the H2 for fuel (A lot of fun in store there, if not quite as much as Georgians with nuclear reactors), or go over to the remarkably horrible pure-electric vehicles and use that to recharge them.
