A disappointing blow for rabbit welfare

Rabbits don't deserve welfare. They deserve to rot in Hell for eternity.

Dear Lord please take care of the Bunny's.

These critters are my survive gear in winter.

Gets down to 9 degrees slippers lined with rabbit pelt are a must.  Hats lined with rabbit fur, boots and  gloves lined with rabbit fur, jackets and coats lined with rabbit.

Bunny's are a gift from god to us living in cold climates, when I get really cold I have no thought of the birds eggs the Bunny's eat, I just need to be kept warm.

I can go the rest of my life never seeing or even hearing about a species of bird indangered by Bunny's, I have to worry about the children that may need insulation to be brought out into the freezing cold and not become chilled.  Few birds can protect humans from the cold but that bunny fur will do most well.     Wet goose down is way to heavy for children or the elderly, bunny fur is much lighter and Will not clump.

Bunny's are versatile, they become pets, meat and pelt.     What the hell can a little known bird do for humanity ???

vesta, what is cane fu?

I think it has to do with some story of an old person with a cane wailing on some young punk that tried to mug them.

vesta, what is cane fu?

Gena glad you asked.

This marshal arts person came up with the Idea that for protection the elderly or those handicapped had a great weapon in hand if the knew how to use it,  the solid oak crock neck walking cane.  The Marshal arts helped here and this idea is brilliant.

It took a year or so of study with health experts for the aged or disabled to get a working plan.  something the disadvantaged can use for protection  or to exercise in a wheel chair or even in bed.

Now this plan is in place and used taught in nursing homes and senior centers for the young and old.

Classes are held in city's or towns all over the country, and teaches people they do not have to feel afraid in public and those that no longer go into public a new form of exercise.

When I first heard of this I googly the Cane Fu and saw films of 80 pound woman 90 years old being able to take down a 200 pound man.  The man was dressed in head to foot protection but darn these old Lady's went first for the groin and learned how to trip him with the crook of the cane or catch him about the neck and drag him into the ground.

Great for old men  or old woman , not to mention the young that need a balance and walk with a cane that  if approached by some dead head that threatens him, the  person can use the cane as a pool stick and jab for the eyes.  Oak canes are very hard wood and a few knocks upside the head in the ears will do a job on these punks, not to mention the groin area.

A one or two hour class first in self defence will give people that fear the outside into becoming self secure and confident in them selves. May be the first time in years they have confidence in themselves.

Next hour is for those who are bed bound and gets into the strength building benefits of using a cane to bend and flex. Unlock those joints by learning how to wave it about over their head.

Personal note here Gina, I am not that old by to days standards, but I do have problems with the nerves in my legs.   I carry a cane that I often do not use but just in case the leg lets go on me.  We hear of young woman being grabbed in supermarkets to get the bags of food they purchased or their purse.

At my age I do not worry about rape or what ever but I do worry about being alone and having my purse and grocery's, possibly my car taken.

Since I have my cane with me, a great weapon if I knew how to use it correctly, ----like a gun one must know how to use I feel no fear.

One can carry this cane on buses, planes and trains, anywhere in public including courts and police stations.

So I want to take my mother and myself for lessons on survival when they are posted in the news paper.

I've heard of it; still a damned poor substitute for a handgun, for my $.02.

DumbAss, this indeed is no substitute for a gun or knife, but can be used when trained to disarm thugs that do carry them.

Law suits you know how those work, the disabled may not have the strength to physically defend themselves and if they use a deadly weapon they could with these liberal courts be sued for doing so and loose what ever they have left in life.

Where in your State can one carry a gun, not on trains, planes, court houses ,banks, schools or to a political rally.  Try crossing from one State to another with a loaded weapon, things may have changed in the last few years but if one gets a CCW from the State of Maine and for any reason found with the weapon on your possesion in NH you may go to jail.

Where anywhere in this country or the world is a cane not allowed.??

New Hampshire is now debating a new law that states that Adults  in the state can now CC with no permit or background check.   --I don't think that is going to be to popular with the citizens or police.

You must be too young to remember the early series westerns ----Oldies western Chanel has the program on often, a take off on a real live man in history known as Bat Masterson---He did not carry a gun or knife, no need, I think Gene Berry played the man and his walking stick did big damage to those that were armed.
