How sweet is it! My D'Back sweep the Codgers....I was at the game Tuesday night...what an ass whoopin' that was. Mark Reynolds hit a 425+ foot home run that was still climbing like a mexican going over the border fence when it encountered the upper deck structure......three run homer...sweet. It just got ugly from there...Mr. Ritalin put the nails in the coffin to finish the sweep with a two run single...way to go Eric...
GO D'BACKS!

GO D'BACKS!
it wasn't the sweep that bothered me. it was the 10-spot that Az put on them two nights in a row that hurt my feelings. :rotf:
ah, but the season is young, and they couldn't possibly suck this bad all year . . . could they? :censored::-) of course, now they go home to host SD, who really does totally own their ass. ::)

I couldn't help myself, it's early and I haven't even finished my first cup of coffee yet. I thought that the two run single Byrnes hit was well timed, don't you think?

Now it's time to sweep the Rockies...AGAIN!
So far, I'm loving this season. :evillaugh:

It's looking pretty good. :-)
I'm heading down to Chase Field in a couple of hours to watch the action in person. Woot! :cheersmate:

if the winning streak/scoring bonanza ends today, we will know who to blame. :-)

And, in Shea today, it'll be a good one, as Johan Santana goes for the Mets against Ben Sheets for the Brewers. Jose Reyes is sitting with some hamstring stiffness, so Angel Pagan is leading off . . .

santana would have to do a lot to be worth $140 million, but look who is talking. LA could wind up paying andruw jones $500,000 per base hit this year. :-)

by the way, the dodgers play Az at dodger stadium for a funky two game series on the 23rd and 24th. that's a wed and thur night.
no word on who is playing QB for Az those two nights. :-)
-
Az at LA for a two game series; starts tonight at 10PM eastern. I'm not especially looking forward to it. :whatever:
-
jeez. the Dodgers were cruising, and then derek lowe had to come out in the sixth winning 6-1 because he had stiffness in his right elbow (which is potentially worse news than just losing this game), and the bullpen has been trying to give it back ever since. :banghead: :censored: :thatsright: :hammer:
-
justin upton just dropped (well, actually, he missed the ball entirely) the guaranteed third out on a routine fly ball in the bottom of the 8th with the bases loaded and down only 6-3; the Dodgers score two cheap runs.
LA goes on to win 8-3, but it was tense in the 7th and 8th when Az left the bases loaded.
-
tonight's game is just freaking annoying. 1-1, down 3-1, 3-3, now down 5-3. :censored: :banghead:
-
LA loads the bases with one out in the sixth, and they score . . . . dick.
-
that was the most irritating game I have watched in quite some time. kent and
torre got tossed after the umpire called a runner safe because kent had pulled
his foot off the bag on what would have possibly been the front end of a double
play, but kent didn't throw to first; the famous "neighborhood play", where the
out is called if the fielder is "close" to the bag. he had, in fact, pulled his foot off
the bag, but it was closer than a hundred other plays that I have seen called out.
furcal was dead to rights in a run down, but ultimately advanced a base because
the ball hit his helmet and bounced into RF. andruw jones missed a HR buy just
a couple of feet, but the LFer caught a super lucky bounce and held him to a single.
kemp started in on a linedrive that went over his head. just a large number of
very unusual plays.
anduw jones still sucks. the drive that he hit was a fluke; he looked awful at the
plate again tonight. he is wearing his socks knee high trying to work out of this
slump. he made the last out on a foul pop up; something he does freakishly
often these days.
LA loses 6-4, but we held them to two field goals tonight. :-)

You didn't get doubled up by the Nationals, though. The wheels fell off just after the Mets gave Ollie a three-run lead. He gave it all back in the next half-inning. Anyone who signs Perez next off-season (he's repped by $cott Bora$) has to learn to live with an occasional meltdown . . . per game, it seems.

I totally feel your pain on the $cott bora$$ thing. the number of times that the Dodgers have been $scott Bora$$'$ jailhouse girlfriend is deeply offensive and embarrassing.

One of the reasons I refer to him as "$cott Bora$$hole."

I almost had this solved, but the hitman wouldn't take AMEX. :censored:
