Title: Why was my post moved from Breaking News?
Post by: formerlurker on March 03, 2011, 03:50:14 PM
I am confused as to why this was moved out of breaking news.    Jane Russel dies = breaking news (???).   WI Republicans pass a contempt charge against the missing democrats which will prompt arrest warrants at 4 p.m., and that gets moved?

Very odd.

Maybe because you didn't include a picture with it?

I dunno; apparently the rule is that breaking news stories have to have a picture.

Although I never noticed that after adding photographs, the New York Times improved any.

I have been bad about putting pictures at Breaking News. Some sites don't allow posting images from outside.

That, and the story shouldn't be in quotes.

I'm staying tuned. Any possibility John Walsh could be covering this on Saturday night?  :-)

The manhunt began 1 hr 10 min ago.

Since Breaking News articles appear on the front page of the forum, we have had rules in place for quite a while concerning topics started in that forum.  We have asked that people try to avoid using quote tags, to include some portion of the story in their original post, and to find some kind of accompanying images to be posted along with the story.

At the time, I did not feel that it was Breaking News and I moved it.  I have updated it to fit the front page of the site and have moved it back.
