Title: March 12th Rally in Columbia, SC
Post by: ConservativeMobster on March 03, 2011, 10:14:24 AM
I'm feeling frustrated  :argh:

The SC Progressive Network is holding a huge (we'll see!) rally in our state capital on Saturday and after doing some research I'm a bit confused.  The focus of this rally is "A Moral Budget" and backers include the NAACP, AFL-CIO, etc and the Christian Action Council.  I'm trying to follow the money and the backers of this group and I find a lot of Christian Organizations.  I thought politics and religion weren't to be in bed together because of the tax exemption.  Not in the humanitarian way but in the organization of political movements.  This rally in particular is to voice opposition of the SC budget cuts to medicaid and other welfare programs, to reform the tax revenue code and promote the progressive cause for universal healthcare, well, you get it.  All in the name of "morality".  It is absurd to me that the Left can claim "morals" on this issue.  Any thoughts?

Should this be in the Politics Forum?  :-)
