Oh my.
This seems a hot issue on Skins's island this morning, a lot of bonfires blazing, the dysmenopausal Kansas school teacher on all of them, and hotly incensed.
A sample bonfire on the subject:

Air America/DLC most likely will try to take legal action to silence Rhodes
You can bet on it. Randi most likely quit and I bet AAR lawyers are going over her contract looking for non-compete clauses.

2. Randi has claimed AAR is in breach of her contract
She might be taking legal action against AAR!

3. AAR can kiss off!
I knew they were bad news when the Malloy firing went ahead.
They have lost their talent and their credibility with the progressive audience they have built over the years.
The DLC has no grassroots constituency, so their listener base isn't really there any more.
I dunno. Did Err America ever have much of an audience?
It strikes me that Rhandi Rodes is no Barbara Walters or Katie Couric, when it comes to pulling in an audience.

4. AAR's website still has Randi pictured in their line-up
There will be an interesting story behind all this.

They are saying "OUR PLAN TO BUY OUR WAY INTO THE LIBERALS TALK AND USE IT TO DIVIDE THEM IS WORKING.
DIVIDED THEY WILL FALL!"
TOLL THE LINE!

7. Let's get mad at AAR for what they've done instead of for what they theoretically...
...might do.
Note that Don Imus went from CBS to ABC.

8. I doubt she's worried.
She's going to be fine. She's not going away.
But really, outside of Skins's island, does anyone even know Rhandi Rodes is around, to not go away?

12. just my 2 cents--Randi got herself fired accidentally on purpose
Randi was being a good even handed Dem soldier pretty much, but the Tuzla incident was way over the line. After that, it just stuck in her craw to --in essence--work for Hillary supporters. (I'm filling in the blanks here) She started really dissing Hillary at every opportunity on the air, not unfairly, but let's face it, it comes up frequently enough (don't hurt me) to start being noticeable.
When she did it in the stand up bit in front of the bosses and sponsors that was a straight out "fire me" bid, IMO. I mean, what else could she possibly be thinking? She's the one who's always bragging about how brilliant and crafty she is. She obviously did it on purpose so she could get the f out of that nest of Hillary vipers, right?

No she's never had any kind of audience. The proof of that is that she said these foul things during a live appearence in the most Liberal city in the U.S. San Francisco.
Now think about how big that city is.
The was her first live gig there...EVER
Only 500 people showed up.
And if Err Amerika was trying to silence her...they'd have either suspended her immediately or fired her on the spot instead of waiting until two weeks AFTER the incident to do anything about it.

Sounds like, to me, that Airhead Amerika was trying to drum up some listeners, so their actual numbers would hit double digits.

For that matter, did they ever have any talent or credibility?

I think Err America produced one good thing and that was We Left the Dial, which was a documentary about the founding of the station and the swindle of the original investors and employees. Rhandi had this scene where Michael Moore comes in and she wants to prostate herself in front of him but he doesn't even know who she is.
She also catalogs all her plastic surgery.
But probably the best bit is the suicidal look on Janean Garlaffarlo's face on election night 2004. Her second best role after the Bowling Ball Lady in Mystery Men.
