Has Anybody Thought About How Spiraling Gas Prices
Has anybody thought about how spiraling gas prices will affect the economy, struggling Americans who are barely making it, and President Obama's reelections prospects?
I have seen this movie before...

Only in the first movie you screamed for the president's head on a platter. This time the president get's no blame.
I have a crazy idea, DUmmies.
How about we drill for oil and end our dependence on oil from countries that don't exactly love us?
I know that is loony tune talk.
-
Now come on DUmmies, I'm sure you'll all be standing in line tomorrow to plunk down the $40K for a Chevy Volt that won't get you home on the first charge.
Set that good example, won't ya?
-
If gas was free, I still wouldn't vote for Obama.

DSB should be banned for not considering the effects on Obama's reelection campaign as the priority. :-)

Oh yes, yes I have, I had to fill my little compact car up yesterday, what cost me $13 to fill when I bought it, it cost me over $31 yesterday to fill it up, and too frigging bad for the Democrats, people are going to demand we start drilling off our waters and in Alaska, something we should've done after 9/11, and no, people aren't going to think wind mills are the answer, you'll be surrounded by screams of "drill baby drill"!
-
Oh, and before you start blaming the oil companies in the US, they make 8 cents on every gallon of oil and the States and Government make over 50 cents per gallon.

19. And many below average workers will lose their jobs. But that never matters to the gas tax junkies.

29. I've noticed that you like to hurl insults at everyone, yet NEVER seem to have any solutions.

32. And I notice that you miss the "suggestions" I give. Your hostility has been made clear.
You DO realize it is against the rules to stalk posters, right?
I am keeping track, and suggest you obey the rules.
You have a good evening, OK?

The DemonRats will say the same thing they always do during a oil shortage with high gas prices. "It will take years for new wells to start providing oil. We need solutions now, like windmills and solar power. " :mental:

I've always wondered about this, as it isn't new:

How is reading a primitive's comments on Skins's island "stalking" someone?
It's a hoary old allegation made by many different primitives in the past, this notion that simply by reading comments, one is "stalking."
I guess right now I'm guilty of stalking Doris Kearns Goodwin and Mark Twain, because I'm reading them.

I would think stalking would be PM'ing someone, not just posting to them on an open board.

Ms. Goodwin subscribes to the DUmmy Pitt school of borrowed journalism, so it might be possible to read her and Twain at the same time.

Think of a young Doris Kern in close contact with Lyndon's Johnson. Hers is the seminal LBJ biography. She was a looker in her day. She didn't age well.

When Bush was Prez, they were all screaming about how the oil companies were ripping people off. Now, it's complete silence.

That's what I have noticed. My mom was one of those people who screamed, "It's Bush's fault!!!!1111" when gas went this high a couple of years ago.
-
I actually took a cruise through the DUmp's archives earlier this afternoon when I got back from taking the kids sledding. Found plenty of stuff in '06 and '07 about the sudden rocketing of gas prices then with the usual "it's Bush's fault" drivel. I figured why bother, even though they screamed their lungs out at rising gas prices then they won't make a peep this time around.
Boy was I wrong. I am actually quite surprised they want to go anywhere near this with the chance of making Glorious Comrade Leader look bad. Now since he finally got off the fence about Libya with an actual opinion against Gaddafy I figured that's where the wrath would go.
Are we seeing some fissures develop in wonderland? Is the glow beginning to fade with the Libtards feeling the pinch at the pumps?

You won't see them blaming Obama for gas prices, it's the speculators and the oil companies.

Yeah, she wrote the best biography of Lyndon Johnson I've ever read.
Showing Lyndon as a kind, caring, sensitive person who unfortunately got caught up in his own traps.
Lyndon Johnson was proof that no good deeds go unpunished; here, he did much for the young, the aged, the minorities, the college students, the hippies, and was despised by them.
Johnson was the best Democrat president in my own lifetime--which isn't saying much--but I don't especially care for him.....however, it seems to me the rank ingratitude of those he helped, or tried to help, board all the various gravy-trains ennobles him, and shows what worthless shits his detractors were.

Because we all know that our local car dealership has huge sales on those solar cars right now. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:
