We've all heard the schtick, "I will have a transparent administration blah blah blah"...
Certainly we all know that is not the case with Mr. "Do as I say" so it's no surprise to see him sneaking off like a teenager on his way to a kegger out the window and down the rose trellis. No surprise but it still pisses me off to see him busted yet again pulling more behind the scenes capers. "Transparency"?, "No lobbyists"? Whatever Barry.

Supposedly, a lot of meetings with lobbyists take place away from the White Mosque where no records are kept.

Probably the same place where Bill Ayers meets him to give him more instructions....the DUmbass can't do but one thing at a time.

Give me a break here, no business or administration can have Transparency if they wish to survive their enemies.
Military is part of our government, should we have transparency in that branch---publish the sailing of ships and boats and give a detail of their mission, Good grief, this is crazy.
When one hears the word Transparency of Government that is the time to buy an small island in the South Seas and hide out for a few years.
Back room deals have been around since our revolution, if one wants Transparency then why the uproar over the Wikie leaks.-0pp9o9o9o9o9o9o9o9o9o9o9o9o9o9o9o9o9o

This was about transparency and the lack of when dealing with lobbyists and others that want to keep their hidden agendas. No One believes that everything the military does should be printed in the NY Times, except for the NY Times and DUmmies.

Here's the point, vesta. Pay attention, because I'm only going to say this once.
Obama is all about rhetoric and zero substance - hence his nickname "Lord Zero."
Politicians make all sorts of promises all the time. But Zero transcended even that dubious track record by making all sorts of promises that a drooling idiot could see could not be met. One of them was this bullshit "transparent government." Another was, of course, Gitmo. Now he owns Gitmo and he owns Afghanistan, but that's beside the point.
So with Zero, knowing that he's telling lies and unsustainable claims, knowing that he's trying to blow sunshine up our collective asses, knowing that he's as hypocritical as the day is long, THOSE are the issues. NOT that maintaining a "transparent" government is even remotely possible, because it isn't. Anybody with an ounce of brains knows that you are going to have to withhold information. The fact that a sizeable percentage of the population actually believed Zero's bogus claims and promises is simply astounding to me.
If you (meaning a politician) make big claims and can't back them up due to security concerns or because you've painted yourself into a corner, your credibility suffers and you're an imbecile.
If you make big claims and can't back them up because your predecessor painted himself into a corner vis a vis the GWOT, you didn't do your research or your staff is too stupid to employ some creative thinking. And you're a dumbass because you employed such people.
Either way, you're a moron who doesn't belong in office. Get the **** out of the WH, acknowledge you're over your head, and fade away into obscurity -- that's my prayer.

Well said, Eupher. I hope you typed that slowly for those who can't read very fast. :lmao:

Obama called for transparency. Major difference.

Precisely. Nobody put him on that pedestal, he put himself there, loudly.
