Title: Liberals to invade GOP Town Halls and protest spending cuts.
Post by: Mr Mannn on February 24, 2011, 06:02:53 AM
Small Bonfire.
No responses yet, but a good clue to whats coming up. Looks like screaming and rage is what the rats think will capture the hearts of America in 2012...

Liberals to stage Tea Party-like revolts against GOP spending cuts
    Source: The Hill

Democratic strategists believe their Tea Party moment has arrived.

Working with labor unions and liberal groups, they are using the Presidents Day congressional recess to organize a public backlash against billions of dollars in cuts to federal programs.

(snip)
“We are targeting various House Republicans in town hall meetings during the recess to let them know these budget cuts are beyond the pale,” said the labor source, who added that it has been difficult to mobilize supporters to public question-and-answer sessions with lawmakers because “they’ve been pretty circumspect in giving out information about the meetings.”

(snip)
The groups, including MoveOn.org, Democracy for America, USAction, the Service Employees International Union and People for the American Way, plan to hold “Save the American Dream” rallies in 50 state capitals on Saturday.

One last thing...notice they use the words "We are targeting various House Republicans." Isn't that threatening language according to DUmmie logic?

Frankly I think our boys will see this for what it is and remain unmoved. It will make the RINOs stand out though.

and last thought: Do y'all agree with me that this spells, Backlash for the liberals? 2010 was a referendum on spending. Isn't this just fodder for 2012? Its not just unoriginal, its plain stupid.

If I'm not mistaken the (perhaps over-simplified) opinion of the two opposing groups are:

The Tea Party: the government is broke and needs to cut spending.

The liberal group: the government is broke and needs to spend MORE money.

I wonder with which side the everyday, normal, common-sense American would side?

The spending cuts and legislative changes all those groups are most incensed about are State actions, protesting at a Congressional town hall is basically so pointless that even most of their own useful idiots won't see why they should do it, especially with more immediate State issues to go wave signs about.  I just don't see anyone getting worked up over cutting NPR or white elephants like high-speed rail.

I got a hunski that says there will be violence from the ragin' leftists at these meeting. The left is not decent nor civilized. It's like being a mole at DU is far easier than being one here because its tough to pull yourself up.

Bring it on, is all I gotta say. Americans are waking up to the fact we're outa money for all these freebees! When everyday Americans hear of food stamp people usin' their debit cards in casinos and on cruises, they tend to believe the gubmint has gone too far wastin' they're hard earned tax dollars.

When a public union refuses to accept responsibility for a fraction of their retirement and healthcare, they get pretty pissed seein' as how said public employees are makin' twice what they do, while doin' half the work of their private sector counterparts.

When Americans see duly elected officials skip town rather than do their job, in order to gum up the works over a budget that by law must be balanced, they tend too see them as children throwin' a temper tantrum and wonder how they got elected in the first Damn place!

I predict if they do indeed show up at Red State Town Halls, there very well could be fisticuffs. As I'm sure they will be outnumbered in any city they invade, it doesn't bode well for these asshats!

Sure hope we get some good video out of these morons!
