Prank call proves billionaire David Koch owns Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and the GOP

The editor of the Buffalo Beast blustered his way into a call with Wisconsin State Governor Scott Walker on Tuesday by claiming that he was Billionaire David Koch, sworn enemy of environmentalism and all progressive causes and more or less the Darth Vader of the effort to destroy America's cleantech competitiveness.
It's important to note that no one has independently corroborated the veracity of the following recordings, but the level of arcane detail contained in the call, as well as the timbre of the purported Walker's voice, indicate it's the real deal. While some producer at CNN is breaking his or her neck trying to prove this is the real thing, you can listen to it in its entirety on YouTube, and we've provided snippets below.

Walker says the bill to destroy Wisconsin's public sector unions will pass:
Walker: Well, we're actually hanging pretty tough. I mean -- you know, amazingly there's a much smaller group of protesters -- almost all of whom are in from other states today. The State Assembly is taking the bill up -- getting it all the way to the last point it can be at where it's unamendable.
(...)
The Senate majority leader had a great plan he told about this morning -- he told the Senate Democrats about and he's going to announce it later today, and that is: The Senate organization committee is going to meet and pass a rule that says if you don't show up for two consecutive days on a session day -- in the state Senate, the Senate chief clerk -- it's a little procedural thing here, but-can actually have your payroll stopped from being automatically deducted into your checking account and instead -- you still get a check, but the check has to be personally picked up and he's instructing them -- which we just loved -- to lock them in their desk on the floor of the state Senate.
...........(more)

MSNBC is covering it. Live, apparently (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x489677)
The last two are just a couple other links I found. I'm positive there are more, and will be more.

Eh. I doubt anything will come of this other than another momentary distraction for the DUmmies. Another day, another shiny toy.
-
Nadin will stick with it for far too long as she does with everything else. As soon as she finds out, at least. Her predictions for Walker will be written down, floawed, and ultimately fail, but we'll still have to deal with it.
Since this is part of the whole Wisconsin Budget Repair bill hooplah that's going on now, this shiny toy may stick around for a while though, Chris.
-
Wow...a politician who privately belives what he says in public.
This IS shocking.
-
DUmmies jump all over the simplest of things. That's not surprising. Just another opportunity to do what should be a very private thing, in public.

It's just a distraction. This tactic is all the left ever has is focusing on a shiny object rather than facts.
-
I say layoff the 12,000 public employees and then still pass the bill next week.
Walker needs to go all Sherman on their asses.
-
I'm sure Nadin will soon be telling us all how this affects the Egyptian Revolution, European Socialism and pork rinds.

Uh, aren't these the same people who said at one time Brietbart was a criminal for settin' up ACORN because they went in under false pretenses? Don't they want the Gal that has been investigating Planned Parenthood arrested for doin' the same thing? Don't they call it entrapment when pedophiles get suckered into a meet up with underage children by the media and police?
Hmmmmm, thought so!
Crawl back under yer rocks, DUmmies. You have absolutely no credibility in a sane world.

And the critical role of prank calls in the 1848 uprisings. They're somewhere in the script.

I think they crossed the Rubyat--Rubicon, whatever--some time before that.

I thought the dummies said Walker was tight with the Koch bro's. Not very tight if he didn't even recognize the dude's voice. :hammer:

Yeah, this will go just as far as callin' up and askin' if Mike Hunt is in the office.

As a young boy, that gave me a giggle. As a young man, it actually still does. I actually like that one beyond all others. :rotf:

I don't think they have any other kind, so I fixed it for ya Chris_.

Just so you have an idea of how big a sack of shit is behind this prank call:

Holy smokes! That guy needs a cap in his ass!
-
This guy...is a very rare breed of ****ing ASSHOLE! He deserved to be beaten every morning when he wakes up, and every night before he goes to sleep. His "humor" is absolutely grotesque.
If there's one thing that pisses me off to no end, it's things like this. What a disgusting pig!! :argh: :censored:
-
"Let There Be Retards" alright.
THEY wrote the f'n article.
So these guys are the new Woodward and Bernstein of the left? :hammer:
Holy smokes! That guy needs a cap in his ass!
Best place to hit him if you were going to blow his brains out. You wouldn't hit anything shooting him in his head.

This argument about the question of the call's legality was made on another website:
Additionally, the call was placed from Buffalo, NY.
NY is a one-party-consent state, which means that only one party to a call needs to know it's being taped. No THIRD party can tape, but you can tape your boyfriend threatening to kill you in a phone rant.
A good way to have it, IMO. So there was no law broken in Murphy taping the call.
Does that pass the smell test?

NY is a one-party-consent state. What the legalities are on taping interstate phone calls . . . I don't know. The FBI would be the ones to ask on this--but the Obamessiah won't let them get involved if it is illegal. There is something called a statute of limitations, though.

I'm pretty sure it can be a considered a federal crime as it is across state lines. Otherwise the FBI wouldn't need court orders to tape conversations in NY. That said, you're right, the Obumbler regime will never pursue it.

Interstate anything is federal.
But I would not fight this "ZOMG it illegal" angle very hard. Valid evidence is still valid evidence and claim exclusionary rules for this sort of thing would be tantamount to claiming you have something to hide.
The real point is: there's nothing to hide here. Nothing Walker said is indicative of a crime, unethical behavior or bad policy.

Please stop being so smart and wise. It makes the rest of us look bad. :cheersmate:
