Kind of boring here in Illinois with our Dem-controlled Congress(both houses) and a Dem Governor
I am sure happy people were smart enough to do the right thing here last election and didn't fall for the bullshit and stay home and not vote. What a relief. And this is right after the Blago fiasco.
Wonder why the Frank Luntz talking points didn't work so well here?
Don
I am from IL Don. You're a ****ing moron.

If not for fraud they WOULD have a GOP governor. And not a RINO either.

You got that right. Brady won 99 of 102 counties. Go figure he lost.. :whatever: damn cook county.

Remember, the grouchy old primitive, who retired from his union job after 30 years service at the age of 48--he's now in his late 50s--has been raising a storm lately about how the corrupt machine-controlled county has raised his property taxes to where they exceed his mortgage payments.
The grouchy old primitive of course the past 40 years voted for those machine operators.
Although my heart goes out to decent and civilized people in Illinois shackled with high property taxes, in this case, it couldn't happen to a better guy, the grouchy old primitive.

Amen, Frank. Be careful what you wish for. Bet he lives in cook county.

The DUchebag does provide the contrast. In illinois the tax rates hve been hiked 65%, property taxes have skyrocketed, and services are being cut but the unions have their treasure and taxpayers have squat. Business is fleeing after the fiasco pushed through by the donks.
Then we have Wisconsin where decent and civilized people are asking that the employees of the taxpayers take a very small slice out and sacrifice very little compared to the taxpayers. Business looks to go into Wisconsin not flee.
Let us not forget that these fine hard working all for the children and not our own greed teachers have through lavish compensation provided Wisconsin children with the 44th best education in our nation.

And besides increasing taxes, the DemRat governor wants to borrow more money and increase spending. :thatsright:

Shakes head!......... This is just to ignorant for words!
Gimme a break!

Property taxes in IL, even the "more conservative" areas, are disgustingly high. The property tax bill on my wife's condo in Rockford is as much as her mortgage payment. Take a look at these rates.

That is coming up.
It should be in full swing by the beginning of summer.

It sure as heck is, Andrew Cuomo pretty much ran on reducing property taxes, then we have Illinois and California.

It's going to be a long hot summer for the other side.
One supposes there'll be riots in blue states and blue cities over it.

It's boring in Texas and we control all of Austin. Guess that means what's not going on in Illinois doesn't really mean a whole lot.

Ha Ha! They've been grooming Prince William for that job for quite some time now.
Hey, wait a minute- didn't they have the Governor's mansion already? Oh ya, I remember now, Gov. Paterson. I didn't think he was such a bad guy. In fact he was slashing spending left and right like a swashbuckling pirate in a boarding party, clearly a lunatic that had to go! WTF was he thinking?

That's why I've already said that if there's going to be any "protests" in downtown Albany, where my wife works, she's going to suddenly come down with a mysterious "illness." She's got the sick time. She'd be a Republican in the middle of an SEIU protest (CSEA and PEF, actually, but we know who's behind it--and the SEIU local HQ is 200 or so yards from my wife's building). I'd be up a few miles away, close to superhighways.

No need to tell us which rooftop(s) you might or might not be on, or which optical equipment might or might not be mounted on that deer rifle that may or may not be beside you.
