Title: How Many DU Accounts Are Mole Accounts?
Post by: Ptarmigan on February 17, 2011, 02:58:55 PM: Just curious, I wonder how many of these DU accounts are mole accounts? The reason I ask is sometimes, we think some of the users are moles. I know DU has 100,000 members.

If you subtract the Tombstones, there is probably less than 50K actual members. Of those 50k probably 10-20k are back up accounts, so that leaves 30k members. Of those , less than 1k are active at least weekly. So, I'm guessing that probably 30% of the actively posting members are moles. ¹

I don't think we will ever know the answer - but I am certain it is way more than Skins is willing to admit to.

I think the only moles that get Tombstones are the ones that go on suicide runs.

I've had two get tombstoned. One for a suicide run. One because I simply said something that made sense.

I've got ya beat! I've had 5, count 'em 5. get tombstoned since 2006. The only active ones I have now have to have a different IP as my desktop is quarantined! They haven't figured out the laptop yet, but I may or may not be using it! hehe! As I can pack it around and change IP's it's a little harder to track!
