Many of us have asked, WHEN?
Well, I am here to tell you, we are near the point when people will have enough. The power elites are well on their way for the average, formerly middle class American, to realize he or she is truly WORKING CLASS. Forty years of successful propaganda have made many forget who or where they come from. These attacks on public employees will be the final straw.
Yes people we are near that point. The cycle of labor awakening is once again part of the landscape. People are waking up... next comes... action.
But what you are hearing in the Eddie show, are the early rumblings of that. It is like a volcano, that first spits smoke and ash, and you feel tremors under your feet. Those are the tremors, and the smoke and the ash.
But the time is no longer a far distant land. The anger I hear is real... and the waking up is also real...
Power elites do this predictably... so we will see...
But when is closer now

3. The PTB really screwed up letting the Internet take hold.
Sucks to be them.

4. These cyclical revolts happened BEFORE the internet
as well... in fact, you might make an argument that the Internet, in the US, serves as a safety valve, the same way the West served as a safety valve. (Turner theory)

6. So how close is close?
We talking a month? During the summer? By the end of the year? What do you consider "closer"?

which in historic terms, IS close.

34. 'Close' might be like the 'soon' in 'Jesus is coming soon', a 'soon'
that has been talked about for a couple thousand years

10. Who said anything about revolution?
YOU.
What you think though that we will not have some worker unrest? If you do, you have not been paying attention.
People are waking up... next comes... action.

nadinbrzezinski (1000+ posts) Mon Feb-14-11 10:46 PMOooooh! Turner theory! Is Turner part of the NDP, or Chicago School? I love it when know-it-all nadinbrzhzhzhzhski tosses off these casual references that pop up when she's copying something from Google. It completely confounds the DUmbasses, but they just need to learn the script, and understand the script, and then anyone can do what the world's foremost rotund authority and search engine pilot does.

Skipping the OP's obnoxious rant and I just skipped to the sarcastic posts in reference to the OP. :-)

31. Like a script that was referred to by the same OP in the countless

threads during the Egypt demonstrations.
Much mention of "there is a script to this", numerous times. A copy of the 'script' was requested, but it never appeared.
Along with many predictions of doom and gloom.

36. whoever ignored is
refers to what I referred to the "script" of revolutions. I used the word script instead of dynamic, my bad. After all they do seem to have an internal dynamic that is very similar from revolution to revolution, If you learn the patterns, and recognize them, you too can read the direction of one as long as you have enough data to make the analysis. With Egypt we did... massive media coverage and all...
Methinks some people round these parts are actually envious of that ability and like to make fun of it. It is part and parcel of American anti-intellectualism and that pesky book readin' to be honest. Many of those who actually like to make fun, are now in that lovely ignored list, since I really do not have time for that idiocy. And what is even funnier is that they sill follow like loyal puppies, or actually cyber bullies, but that is another story.
Ooooh, those stupid, dumb, redneck, hick USians dat donna cotton to no reedin o books and whut not, huh Nadine? Go screw yourself. You don't know your head from a hole in the ground. It doesn't matter how many books you have read when it is clear that you lack the wisdom and experience to understand the nature of the author's ideas and what happens in the the real world.
You claim knowledge of the patronage system as some measure of your intellectualism. I am not an intellectual, but I understood that's how the world works in most places very shortly after I started traveling.
You claim that Americans are cloistered and cut off from the rest of the world, due to oulr lack of knowledge of current events in Swaziland or what the capitol of some nothing country in Africa is. The truth is that most people in Europe wouldn't know or care either, but that doesn't fit your condescending attitude towards people like me does it?
You claim knowledge of some script or dynamic that can be understood about revolutions, yet the only outcome so far in Egypt has been to hand power from a dictator to a general who now commands the exact same security apparatus as the dictator. Elections are just around the corner, I'm sure. Just as soon as the security situation improves.
Nadine, you are most certainly brown eyed. Not from genetics, rather simply because you are full of shit.
I've noticed that the ones that consider themselves the "most intelligent" in any group have very, very little common sense. Nadin(e) certainly fits the mold.
I have ruminated on that same point many times as well. Common sense, so it would seem, is not so common among those with large amounts of book learning. <insert absent minded professor joke>
I'm laughing at Obamanaut's sarcasm . . . he/she is probably on nad's "Iggy" list! :lmao:

18. When one reads history, what is particulary instructive is how much unfalsifiable nonsense gets spewed about "rumblings" that never come to fruition.
Then again, for someone who appears to think that every new event is just more confirmation of their proposed theory, I don't think such history would really affect your prognostications.
welcome to the ignore list. I have no time for willful ignorance...

2. Yep, them are rumblings, that volcano is starting to show ash fumaroles.
See if you can guess what what the tubby know-it-all just googled:
If you understand the script, anyone can do this.
I don`t know all the issues and motivations of those on the streets in Egypt, most likely it is so varied that no one thing applies.
You know, this is so true. That's why I don't think I made a single comment on Egypt. This entire event cannot be encapsulated to an easy sound-bite or stupid internet post, as Nadin would wish. We don't know how it's going to play out, and we don't know what the mob was thinking. It's not as simple as a script. You just don't understand the script.
The DUmmies are getting good and fed up with her.
