Not for me. I buy the big containers of Deluxe Mixed Nuts at Sam's to munch on whenever I'm hungry. I eat the cashews and pecans first. Struggle through the almonds with an occasional hazelnut. Toss out the Brazil nuts. For some reason, I don't really like peanuts since I've been on the diet.

I don't like chocolate covered nuts, except for Pecan Turtles....which I dearly love!

Beer & Chicken wings

Buffalo wings, not some knock off impostor from somewhere else and must be done with the original Frank's redhot sauce.http://www.franksredhot.com/products/buffalo-wings-sauce

Beer can be anything you like. One local Buffalo favorite is Genesee Cream Ale from Rochester.

Yeah, that's an experience or an observation I've never had, although I understand it's a common one.

Heh, I KNOW all about per diem, hubby "suffered" so much during his career.  Those bastards sent him to Bangkok, Tokyo, and Hawaii AND then there was all that lovely COLA for our last two tours in Germany.
First taste of Eiswein was out of some guy's basement in Rudesheim when DH and I were playing tourist, as always on the weekend.  Tours to Germany USED to be fun.

Yeah, I've always wondered why that's not more popular than it is.

It's great.

Also french fries and blue cheese salad dressing, or french fries and sour cream.

I'll sometimes make a thin tuna salad and use slices of sharp cheddar as chips and eat it like chip and dip.

That's how I eat them, and so does my son. I will use honey mustard or ranch dressing too, but prefer mayonnaise....the real stuff.

In Germany, a dollop of mayo (which is generally some real funky stuff that doesn't even come close to Hellmann's or Best Foods (depending where in the country you're at)) and ketchup both adorn your portion of pommes frites.

It's like a grease bomb exploding in your gut after some of those. Tons of fat in that stuff.

Yuck on the fries and mayo.  My ex used to do that.  He'd also do peas & Mayo.  Gag & puke.

Pizza & Diet Coke is a great combo, better than beer, I think, and I like my beer.

Pizza & Buffalo wings are a huge fave combo around here.  I don't like it.  The pepperoni clashes with the Frank's.
