Title: Michelle Obama to Promote Breastfeeding as IRS Gives Tax Breaks for Nursing

First lady Michelle Obama will be speaking out to remove barriers to breastfeeding, Politics Daily has learned, throwing the spotlight on nursing as a way to reduce childhood obesity.

This comes as the Obama administration in the past year has made several moves to encourage breastfeeding -- including a push for more flexible workplace rules and an Internal Revenue Service ruling on Thursday that breast pumps and other nursing supplies qualify for tax breaks.

Mrs. Obama -- who has spoken in public about nursing her youngest daughter, Sasha -- is going to tread carefully in what might be a sensitive area for some women -- and not use her bully pulpit to directly ask more women to breast feed.

"Breastfeeding is a very personal choice for every woman," Kristina Schake, Mrs. Obama's communications chief, told Politics Daily. "We are trying to make it easier for those who choose to do it."

the thing with that breastpump deduction is you have to have a HSA or the pump/medical bills for the year total up to 7% of our gross income.  Damn pump is $250.

SICK!...You only got SICK?....Hell man, I'm scarred for life.

By the time Obama gets done with us, babies will be lucky if their mothers are healthy enough to breast feed 'em.

I'm going to claim discrimination.  I mean, because I don't have a vagina or breasts--well, at least ones that give milk--I can't claim this.  WTF is up with that?

I don't have medicare, I have my own prescription coverage through work (which doesn't cover pecker pills) and I'm of the opinion if you need little blue pills to get a hardon, that's God's way of saying, "STOP ****ING!"

God has to be a woman....why else would men have to spend the best years of their sex life begging for sex....and then women not even giving them a hint of how or what to do to please them.... and then when you finally have it all figured out...at last....she gives you a limp rope to push the lawnmower.

Freeborn, I think Michelle was referring to when Sasha was an infant.

Those pumps are $250??  I have an endless list of baby showers facing me, and the new mother is always putting that on her registry.  Gad.  Like I'm going to buy something like that for a co-worker.  Gross.

I'm just old-fashioned enough to not want this in full public discourse.  I don't wanna see it, or discuss it in mixed company.  I also cannot stand the militant ones, and will avoid them at all costs.

Yeh, the best one in my opinion that you can buy on the market is the medela pump in style and it's $279.99 but my insurance has paid for each one becasue my babies were NICU babes.  I always sell the pump afterwards for around $150.

Now the best is the hospital grade you can rent foor $60 a month

I'm not so old fashioned that I think it's wrong to feed a baby in public au natural so long as the mom exercises at least a bit of modesty, like a baby blanket maybe. If I'm in a restaurant and about to enjoy a fat juicy Porterhouse the last thing I want to see is someone going all National Geographic in the next booth.

I am so ****ing sick and tired of the social conditioning that is being pushed upon us by these people -- breastfeed or don't breastfeed . . . who ****ing cares?  GTFO of my bedroom, my refrigerator, my car, my choice of restaurants -- the nanny state list is becoming endless . . .  :argh:

The fuse is lit and it's burning down rapidly -- or is that too incendiary for you Chris Matthews, et al.?

We should have met up when I was in Vegas.  Just so I could have given you a good swift kick in the balls.

All in good sport, of course...  :bitchslap:

Ball kicking is now a sport?

Don't care what they pay the players, it ain't enough for me..... Bonnie Fwank on the other hand would probably pay to play.
