If Reagan and W were puppets, who pulled their strings? Post your nominee please

Here's my first nominee:

#1 Puppet master: Dick Cheney

I picked him because his fingers are so deep up the rear ends of all of the puppets-- which is scary since they come with strings.

I think Dick Cheney has earned a spot on the list for his influential place in the last 3 GOP administrations.
*trained under Rumsfeld in the Nixon era
*Nixon's asst
*White House chief of staff under Ford
*House Minority Whip under Reagan
*Sec of Defense under Bush Sr.
*CEO Halliburton under Clinton
*VP under Bush Jr.

He's just had way too much time to influence.

That's why he was my number one choice for the presidency in 2000 (primaries) and 2008.

He would've been number one in 1996 too, but I had more-sentimental affection for Robert Dole, who had been my number one choice in 1980 and 1988.
