..."What's interesting about our country, if you study history, is that there are some 'isms' that occasionally pop up -- pop up. One is isolationism and its evil twin protectionism and its evil triplet nativism..."

No; GWB calls himself a "Republican"; there's a fine but growing distinction between the terms.

I have to admit I have been headed the way of isolationism and an America first policy. Unfortunately that no longer if it ever did work.
When was the first time America became involved with non American problems.? When was the first time besides the Alamo that we took up arms against another country that was not on our border and attacking us.?
When was the last time an Allie of ours was attacked that we did not run to their defence????---------Yes I know we ****ed over England and a few other country's but who was our president then.???
BTW where is the outpouring of relief to Australia from the world, the help they really need?

His election was a classic 'Leser of two evils' deal, and we did get that out of it, but that's about the most positive thing I can say about him...well, also that he was basically honest, which is Hell of a lot more than you can say for his predecessor.

After having read most of his book "Decision Points", I have more respect for him for his courage and convictions, but the amnesty for illegals bullshit that he tried to ram down our throats caused the Senate to gag, as it well should have.
That, and other social decisions that he attempted and failed to attempt - he acknowledges he should have wrestled with Medicare, rather than cave in to Congress - led me to believe that he believes. But at heart, he's a heartful kinda guy and that kind of position doesn't get the right things done - but it does win votes.
GWB is doing absolutely the right thing now, however, and that's ducking out of public life -- just as soon as he's done pimping his book.

Good a place as any to put this.
Heard this on the radio. They have caught 1,500 India indians slipping across the Mexican border in just the last 3 months. They estimate that as many as 15,000 India indians have made it across during that time. No mention of how many were Muslims. Also said that they 10 to 20 thousand dollars to the smugglers.

Last week Laura Igraham played his comments. The only thing he was good for was the response to 9/11. His amnesty NWO crap is that crap.
