A member of Norway’s parliament has nominated WikiLeaks for the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize.

Snorre Valen, a member of the Socialist Left Party in Norway, says that the secrets-leaking group is “one of the most important contributors to freedom of speech and transparency,” and that it deserves the same honor as awarded to Liu Xiaobo, the jailed Chinese rights activist.

“Liu Xiabao was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize last year for his struggle for human rights, democracy and freedom of speech in China. Likewise: Wikileaks have contributed to the struggle for those very values globally, by exposing (among many other things) corruption, war crimes and torture

Carter, Obama, why not wikileaks. The Nobel Committee has demonstrated they are anti-American.

It would serve to highlight the pointless Left-wing political bit of posturing to which this once-prestigious award has devolved...as if Obama's receipt of it hadn't been enough to accomplish that already.
