Was there outrage among the right
Edited on Tue Feb-01-11 09:32 PM by Proud Liberal Dem
when Romney enacted a health care plan in Massachusetts that mandated (private) health insurance coverage? Were there foaming at the mouth protests against the plan or lawsuits filed to stop "Romneycare"? I don't live in Massachusetts and hadn't been paying much attention to it but I don't seem to remember similar concern among Republicans there (or elsewhere) about that plan's private insurance mandate nor any attempts to get the mandate removed or "Romneycare" repealed. Did I just miss something or are Republicans just being hypocrites (as usual)?

One of the reasons that I didn't support Romney was because of that.
I also believe there was a slight difference. You don't get fined for not having it, you get a tax credit for complying. Since I don't live there I really am not certain about it though.

State policy.
State problem.
Funny how the 10th Amendment works like that, huh?
But it should be noted his chances of securing the GOP nomination are all but dead because of it. Is that enough outrage for you?
And where is your outrage for a democrat president lining you up to buy insurance based on a republican scheme?

Must have been pretty bad. It blew Jimrob right off the rails.

Was there outrage?....of course not...why not? ...because it was a moonbat idea in a state run by moonbat liberals, lived in by moonbat liberals that elected the moonbats that passed the moonbat idea.

No kiddin' Like I give a shit what happens in AssaShootsUs! As far as Romney is concerned, it was the single reason I wrote him off as soon as he hit the scene! Didn't know I was supposed to burn him in effigy like you asshats did with "W", just 'cause I disagreed with his politics.

Yeah dipshit, there was. It's the reason I won't support his candidacy in the primaries now.

There aren't enough people on the right who live in Mass to formulate enough outrage to be heard over the the sound and fury of the liberals.

Would amount to about the same as a silent fart in a thunderstorm.

Who's that senator up there that ran for pres and got his ass kicked? I believe he served in Vietnam or somethin' like that. Oh yeah, it was Lurch! Yeah, I'm gonna worry what idiots who elect super genius like that to the senate think and do!
