Title: Back From Norman, OK. Ask Me Anything!
Post by: Lord Undies on April 07, 2008, 10:52:27 AM
I'm back from my weekend in Norman, OK.   It is a great place to be and I now understand why my son is happy and contented living there.

Here is where I slept.  The La Quinta Hotel:

Here's the view out the window (fourth floor):

Here's the pool from the window:

Here's my soon-to-be new daughter-in-law (bad photo pose - she's really very lovely)
and my Little Angel in her "car" in front of my son's house:

You stayed over by the Home Depot on Ed Noble Parkway.  :-)

Glad you had a good time.

My brother lived in Enid for a few years...I spent some time there helping out with their baby when his wife had some surgery.

Yeppers, that's the one.  Cool place.  The geometric circle patterns in the hallway carpeting had me a bit dizzy - but then again, I was sober.

I'm ready to move up there!  I found out my son's highest electric bill last summer was $90.00.  Mine was $500.00.  Something is wrong.

Holy crap! $500!

Yikes!

My highest bill last summer was around $120.  But then again, you probably have a much bigger house than I.

Also, glad to see you had a good time.  I've never been to Norman, OK.

I don't think so.  My house is quite small.  1700 sq.ft.  My son's house in OK is about the same size.  We are getting the shaft here.

My house is around 1100 sq feet. Strange that yours is so much higher though.  I'm even using TXU.

Something's up.   I looked back.  The bill I paid in March 2007 was $320.00.  The bill I paid in March 2008 was $185.00.

Suction works both ways, my friend and at least we don't pay out the ass for utilities here.

Y'all think the utilities are bad in Texas....... try Minnesnowta..... the LOWEST bill I had recently was $150 for gas and another $150 for electric. The average in the summer was $150 for gas and another $350 for electric.

I was forced to live in Tulsa for 7 months.  It was the longest 3 years of my life.

That whole city has a whiff of sulphur dioxide on it.

Same amount of usage?  That is very strange.  Are you sure there isn't an extension cord running from your house to your neighbors?
