that all homeless people have mental health problems, and are just homeless because they couldn't get adequate mental health care. See, homelessness has nothing to do with economics!

But he is a right-wing white guy, so the narrative MUST SAY that he is a lone nut-case. Those Are The Rules! The right, and white people can never, ever be held responsible as a group, but everyone else must always be smeared with group responsibility.

Because to people in power "we" are individuals, but "they" are only members of the groups by which we understand them.

Neal Boortz was saying a few weeks ago that this is why left wing radio failed. Because they would have to take calls. And that would be the death of them.

If Jared Lee Loughner's name had been Mujahed Ali el-Oughner like in the cartoon, you leftist assholes would be screaming that we shouldn't be jumping to conclusions like when Nidal Malik Hasan killed 13 people and wounded 29 others.
