(CNN) - A federal judge in Florida has struck down key parts of the sweeping health care reform bill championed by President Barack Obama as unconstitutional. Officials in Florida and 25 other states are challenging sections of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, including the "individual mandate" requiring most American to purchase health insurance in four years, or face stiff penalties.

1. What everyone on here seems to want to get rid of HCR anyway because it's not a public option
Isn't that what everyone says.
Don't get me wrong. I'm being snarky. I DON'T want to lose HCR, I have a disabled child.

between those whio care about the people and those who don't...
Oh and I mean that, as the empire collapses, it might just happen... I have had this conversation with BIL... that perhaps this continental empire is too large and dysfunctional to effectively governm... with way too many subcultures that oppose each other. We have about five major subcultures...

JUDGE RULES HEALTH CARE LAW UNCONSTITUTIONAL

“I note that in 2008, then-Senator Obama supported a health care reform proposal that did not include an individual mandate because he was at that time strongly opposed to the idea, stating that ‘if a mandate was the solution, we can try that to solve homelessness by mandating everybody to buy a house,’†Judge Vinson wrote in a footnote toward the end of the 78-page ruling Monday.

It's already in the constitution you jackass.
It's called the 10th amendment but you idiots call anyone championing the 10th A to be domestic terrorists to be monitored by Aunt Janet.
What is funny is Nads might find itself on the other end of a Aunt Janetano wire tap if she keeps posting about conspiring with her BIL .... Inquiring minds might like to hear her plan for the partitioning.
Paging Agent Mike. Dummy discussing sedition. :thatsright:
I'll see you that Drudge and raise you this:Quote“I note that in 2008, then-Senator Obama supported a health care reform proposal that did not include an individual mandate because he was at that time strongly opposed to the idea, stating that ‘if a mandate was the solution, we can try that to solve homelessness by mandating everybody to buy a house,’†Judge Vinson wrote in a footnote toward the end of the 78-page ruling Monday.
Judge uses Obama’s words against him (http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/jan/31/judge-uses-obamas-words-against-him/)
Narcissists hate having their own words stuck in their face. MAJOR BURN !! :rotf:

barbiegeek (650 posts) Mon Jan-31-11 03:12 PMSo do I you doofus. That is one of the reasons I joined the military was because of health insurance. That is also why I have this thing called a job right now. I know that is hard for you to wrap your little pea brain around right now but that is how you take care of your children. You work and earn the money to support them and you be a freaking parent. It's not the governments job to take care of and raise your crotch droppings. :loser:

Yep, and when warned that it was unconstitutional, the Demmocrats wasted more than a year and uncounted amounts of money debating, sermonizing, propagandizing, and villianizing about their bill all the while saying, well, if it's unconsitituional then let the courts strike it down. If the fools had started with, "It's unconstituional, so let's move on to other business." We might all be better off.
They don't care about legality, and they'll start telling us how reactionary this judge is very shortly. They only care about power. They may get it, but by the time they do the nation will be unfit for governing.
Indeed - and since Bella Pelosi said "We have to pass the bill so you can find out what is in it" - what you got was a punch in the face. However, in this case, the problem is what isn't in it - a severance clause, meaning there is no way to strike down part of part of the bill without killing it all. Since you don't own the house, and barely own the senate - you don't have the votes to skirt the rule. Sorry.
** That's what you get for breaking your promise to publicly air a bill before voting on it, bitches. One of your minions would have found the severance clause was missing if you asshats did what you said you would.
Ooooooooooooooh, that's gonna leave a mark! Bwahahahahahahahahahaha! Ain't it just amazin' how many times the mostest, smartest, people on the planet outsmart themselves? hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!
