I got paid today. It was a bigger check because of the payroll tax cut.
I'm just sayin'.....

Mine was smaller. Insurance rates went up, fed withholding went up, SS withholding went down but not enough to cover the loss from the other 2. I'm still waiting for my premiums to go down, and my boss to give me a raise.

1. You mean the Social Security payroll tax cut? Updated at 9:24 AM

If the government would just eliminate the Social Security payroll tax for you and your employer that would give you even more cash and boost business profits.
Of course, you'll never see a Social Security check.
You could "invest" your pay increase in a 401K or buy stocks directly and hope for the best.
Just sayin.
Dingy Harry said it's a myth that SS is having problems.

24. Time to raise taxes...
and the Democrats will be too timid to broach that subject.
Yep just what I need more taxes.

I don't think the DUmmie realizes that payroll taxes are not income taxes.

Anything that comes out of a DUmmies check is "taxes". "I pay taxes" when actually they are getting a welfare check every year and "NOT" a refund....they also think that that payroll deduction also covers unemployment, workers compensation..."I paid it and they owe it to me."....you'll never be able to explain to them that they don't pay taxes or all that other stuff they think they are entitled to just because they pay "HALF" of their social security witholding..

I tried like hell to break even this year by both me and "Toots" gettin' extra takin' out every payday! I'm still goin' to owe Obiewan money, even though I haven't been employed since July!
**** you "my check was bigger" motha ****a! I guess if you're flippin' burgers ya don't pay that much in the first place! When was the last time ya actually "paid" taxes, anyway, DUmb****??????

My husband just got a pay raise, so it seemed like his bi-weekly check was larger... but more money = more taxes. He's going to look at next weeks check to really figure out how much more is being taken out. Our health insurance went up, so that doesn't help at all.
At least he got a raise though. His company said a few months ago that they were going to freeze pay, but they made a huge profit (oh noes) and were able to give out raises after all.
