Title: Sharron Angle... for President?
Post by: Evil_Conservative on January 27, 2011, 07:28:18 PM
My husband was listening to KDWN (720AM) on his way home from work.  He said he heard a report of some journalists asking Angle if she was running for President.  She is in Iowa for a movie premier.  I figured he didn't hear something correctly.  I went to KDWN's site and couldn't find the link, so I did a quick web search and found this:

"I’ll just say I have lots of options for the future, and I’m investigating all my options," she told the paper.

I agree with the article, I do not think she will run.  At least I hope not.

I am so worried that with the Tea Party and the Republican party clashing on things that Obama is going to run away with 2012 just because of con voter's splitting.

Exactly, Gina.

I wasn't a huge fan of Angle during the 2010 elections.  I wanted Tarkanian for Senate.

I have always maintained that it's better to lose an election with a solid, constitutional candidate than win with a baseless, shifty RINO. Once you define the playing field, and define the players, the end game is that much easier to plan for.

I love the fact that the "middle" is fast becoming a minefield instead of a comfortable fence. This allows us to properly define, then frame the argument from a rock-solid, constitutional base, as opposed to a compromisable, hence corruptable, position that can ONLY be manipulated by the Democrats in their favor. Obama was NOT elected just by the left; he was put in place by the spineless, manipulative middle.

And make NO MISTAKE. Tea party candidates will not back down.

In short, though she didn't win, Sharron Angle was JUST as big a player in the recent election as any Tea Party winner. The key here is that Angle may have been a loser, but her actions in running both in the primary upset of the RINO, but running a relatively close race against the Senate Majority leader was just as significant a "team effort" as any of the Tea Party winners. For that, Angle will always be in play.

But president? No. It DOES take some experience at a nationally reviewable level to credentialize onself to a national audience. Palin currently has the most credentials along with her bonafide commitment to Tea Party principles, and it is up to others in the movement to challenge her for that spot in next year's primary.

Which is very possible.  I'm not a Tea Party member and I'd be very leery about voting for one.  They would really have to knock my socks off.

I'm done with big government republicans.  Instead of holding my nose and voting Rick Perry yet again for governor, I wrote my wife's name in the last election.   If it's Jeb Bush against Obama, my wife will get written in again.

Ugggh . . . I'm not Tea Party either, but Jeb Bush? No, nor Sharron Angle, because she couldn't even get rid of Harry Reid in a pro-GOP election year, and some aspects of her campaign were terrible. The same thing would happen to her on a larger scale if she were to run for POTUS - every union thug and socialist in this country would destroy her.

FMR. Gov. Tim Pawlenty is going to be a force in 2012, and he has the unique abillity to unite the tea party and GOP establishment. That is not an endorsement, it is a reality.

I prefer divided President/Congress. But for God's sake, I don't think America can survive
four more years of the Imam Barack. And I sure as Hell don't want him appointing the next
Supreme Court Justice.

So I'll take even a RINO - if he or she comes with a GOP Congress.

I consider Rudy an independent in GOP's clothing, but I would consider voting for him in a primary (words I never said in '08) and would vote for him over Obama. I can not, however, support Ron Paul because of his sick, twisted view of the world.
