and I'm a Ramblerholic, that's right, I drink Ramblerhol
I love cars, I've got two AMC Eagles, one KAmmback with 300,000 miles that is my project, and I daily drive an 83 Eagle Wagon (until i can find somebody to buy her so I can get something older and easier to work on)
Oddly enough I found this site when I typed in My Strange Addiction Furry on Google, and I remembered I need to keep up on politics through a site that isn't a hot rodding site haha.
FIgured I'd introduce myself
BTW, I'm an 8-Track collecting, 70s style nut, who is also a conservative (well, duh, why else would I be on this site)
-
You are here because of me. :rotf:
Is that Furry thing on tonight? I saw that preview and made a thread.
Welcome to CC! I am Jessica. See you around... there's a car forum here somewhere.
-
Welcome Kyle! Sit back and enjoy The Cave! Make sure you stop in to read "A Friendly Reminder" in the Feedback Section and the Board Rules.
-
Herzlich Wilkommen.
-
Well, I think that is the most original way to get someone here. Welcome.

Welcome, Kyle.

Welcome to the Cave, Kyle. You may call me Rev. Enjoy yourself, and relax.
-
Wow. I thought I'd never see those words in print, ever:
..."I'm an 8-track collecting..."
Kyle, you are one sick puppy! :rotf:
KA---CHUNK! (right in the middle of a tune)
Welcome to CC, Kyle! If you're as sick, warped and twisted as the rest of us, you'll fit in fine! :rotf:

I wonder if my father still has his 8-tracks. He has a large three-piece bureau and I remember most of it was full of tapes.
Can you still find Chrysler/Jeep parts for that AMC?

It's hard with a lot of the parts, but engine is pretty easy to get parts for, but if I need to replace my oil pan, I'm screwed, Eagles needed different oil pans, that nobody makes anymore, due to the front axle
Yeah, I've got over 250 8-Tracks, that I listen to often, I got most of those dirt cheap

Welcome aboard

I had a motorcycle like that. It was a three-year-only run and a custom model at that. I'm kinda glad it got stolen so I don't have to wander all over Goshen looking for parts.

What kind of bike was it?
I've got an 84 V65 Sabre, well, I will, my dad will probably never get around to fixing it since he has an 84 V65 Magna now
-
The Sabre was an interesting bike. I had a contemporary Shadow that I really liked (it was an '84). Here's my ex-motorcycle.... I bought a Datsun with the insurance money after it disappeared.

My husband has a 1967 Camaro that had the original 8-track player, but he has a hard time finding tapes so he installed a modern stereo system. Gosh, I know the youngsters on here, for the most part, won't even know what an 8-track is.

Welcome ....You must be older than dirt like me. I love cars also. My present ride is an 2008 Nissan 350z. Have owned many sportscars.
Nash sponsored the National Jaycee Junior Golf tournament. Rode with our sponsor and 3 other participants from Shreveport LA to Albuquerque NM in a Rambler. Tight fit ..good thing we were all skinny.

I guess I missed that part of addictions and furries and TV shows, and to be quite honest, I'm going to stay the hell away from that.
An addiction to wearing some kind of goofy animal costume in public? Are you frakking kidding me????

It's not an "addiction", it's a deviancy.......
good God, everything seems to be an addiction any more.... :banghead:
-
Co worker told me I'm addicted to cars
I didn't disagree with him haha
I go bowling with furries, it's fun
Couldn't fursuit though, too expensive, and I would rather put that kind of money into my car

You should have seen it. Her cousin was making fun of her for it. And her mom was embarrassed. And people were laughing at them. Although nobody kicked her or her boyfriend's ass. If it happened, TLC edited it out.

Agreed. But you might wanna talk to the TV people - they're the ones who came up with the name.

I am so trying to be good right now.

She really has some talent putting those stupid animal suits together. She should use that talent for something productive. And what was with the cushion eating chick? That is a gross habit.

Is she on a diet of some kind? Does the foam rubber provide some sort of nutrient?
Curious people wanna know! :rotf:

Yeah, I can image her teeth/gums don't have problems with gingivitis. Hell, the acid has probably melted away her teeth altogether and she gums everything to death.

This has got to be one of the oddest welcome threads I have ever seen.

I never HAD much of a problem with 8 track tapes. Must have been a user induced problem.......
-
As long as you keep the head and capstan shaft clean, you shouldn't have too many problems
I've got a bunch of q tips and rubbing alcohol that works well for that
-

Well, now that you mention it, I used to keep those things on the floor of my car, which was littered with all kinds of crap. I remember finding a boat anchor on the floor one day. I have no idea how it got there....

I think if I dig around in my crap somewhere I'll find a demagnetizer. Those things were helpful too.
