Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) will not attend the Super Bowl when it’s played in Texas on Feb. 6 —instead he’ll be in Simi Valley, Calif., attending events celebrating what would have been the 100th birthday of the late Ronald Reagan.

I wouldn't automatically assume Rick Perry is doing this out of a sense of patriotism.  I'm sure there's something in it for him.

Yeah, what you said.  I know he is better than what other people have, as far as Governor, but I wouldn't  get too "woo hoo" about it.

I can't stand him and refused to hold my nose and vote for him again.  Instead, I wrote in my wife's name.  :-)

If anyone cares, this is part of the reason I have a problem with Governor Goodhair...

AUSTIN (AP) -- Gov. Rick Perry ordered Friday that schoolgirls in Texas must be vaccinated against the sexually transmitted virus that causes cervical cancer, making Texas the first state to require the shots.

I told my wife we would leave Texas before I allowed our daughter to be a part of this.

I would be more than happy to have a governor like Perry. In Illinois, someone like him would be considered a right wing ultra conservative.

Sounds like Perry would fit in perfectly in Illinois.  I don't have proof but I remember being told he was a Democrat at one time and switched parties.  Believe me, Perry isn't worthy of cleaning Sarah Palin's shoes.

I didn't know you were in the Gret Stet of Texas.  :)  Yeah, Lord help us all.  I voted for Medina in the primary, KBH I have no love for either.  I did vote for him in the actual election tho.  Got a little sick in my mouth, but, ya do what you gotta do, I suppose.  I wouldn't be shocked to see Perry have some type of involvement in the 2012 election, which is why he is doing the whole "Reagan honoring thing."  JMHO, of course.

And yeah, CC, I am with you on the gardasil, I also think he loves China.  I had an article, bookmarked before my latest upgrade that I can't find now, regarding his last trip to China, and some serious investment from China in the Houston Ship Channel.  I will find it, but I don't care to spend the time to search it at the moment.

Yes ma'am - 10 years and change in the DFW area.  I work in downtown Dallas, live in Kaufman County.

Maybe I should have held my nose and voted for him, but once was enough.   When these "lesser of two evils" get voted into office, let it be on someone else that they helped them get there - I don't want to be part of it anymore.

Just recently he said that Texas wouldn't be doing the same thing that Arizona is doing with illegals.   :banghead:

Well howdy neighbor!!!  I got people in Kaufman County.  :)   I live and work in Dallas County, but don't live or work in Dallas.  I don't live in a "sanctuary city" but I suppose that is because ain't no one doing anything about it, so no need for sanctuary, right?

On another political front, I think Leppert might run for senate.  I would like to see that.  Dunno what's going to happen to Dallas though.  Lord help us if we get another Laura Miller.

Perry is a RINO through and through.   :thatsright:
