What? A DUmmie went to a megacorporation - Sears - and opened up a credit card to buy appliances. How dare they play Fox News in the Electronics Department in the presence of county worker? Don't they know who he is?
:ohnoes:
He tells Sears in an e-mail that he will not use his new credit card to buy his appliances there until they remedy this situation. Sears probably is lucky if county worker doesn't actually buy his new appliances on credit - we all know he'd skip out on the bill anyway.

The Sears store in our town had Fox News playing on half the TV sets in the electronics section.

We went to look at appliances and I asked the sales person to please change the channel on those TV's. She said she had to play what the home office tells her to.
I ended up sending the home office this email:
I went into the Sears store in Lompoc, CA today. My wife and I need to buy a new refrigerator and washer and dryer.
I applied for a Sears charge and got $5,000 credit. I noticed that about 10 TV sets in the store had Fox News Channel on. I asked the sales person to please change the channel on those TV’s since Fox is not news but extreme right wing propaganda and lies.
She told me that she has to put on what the home office tells her to put on. I asked for the number of the home office ad she said she would have to dig it out.
The lies on Fox news is helping to fuel the class war in this country that is responsible for the disappearance of the middle class and for the shutting down of businesses in Lompoc, CA.
I will not be buying my refrigerator and washer and dryer from Sears as long as Fox news in on the TV’s in the Sears stores.
Please have the store in Lompoc change the channel from Fox news and let me know when they did it.

And any place that peddles the NYT, MSNBC, WaPo contributed to the death threats issued by Eric Fuller.
So there!

Good luck with that. They probably have 10 other customers with the same limit who like Fox news. Many of those establishments generally will play to their OVERALL clientele or they will, like in this case, stick to a national all day news channel. Sucks for dummies that most corporations don't see Fox news any different then the other news networks available, in fact, they may put it on because it's cleaner and just looks better on those tvs. I don't know what it is, but I've preferred their layouts and how they look on the screen compared to the other channels anyway. I'm sure as a totally NOT AV geek, I'm messing up my terminology, but hopefully someone gets it. :-)

DUmmie said half (1/2) the TV's were on FOX News...what were the other half (1/2) on? If they were on CNN or MSNBC then sears is fair and balanced ....and proof positive that the DUmmies just want to hog all the discourse.
-
It wasn't Fox News that chased businesses out of California, you stupid bureaucrat. Crushing taxes and regulation sent biz's screaming for the hills. The most lucarative business in CA now are relocation specialists.
I wouldn't buy any major appliances right now, countyworker; you're likely to be downsized soon. CA's broke, and cannot afford your salary and pension anymore.

This:
since Fox is not news but extreme right wing propaganda and lies.
and this:

...killed ANY and all credibility your stupid letter to the "home office" might have had with who ever read your email.

No, you stupid goober, what you got was a $5,000 debt limit.
-
So let me get this straight.
DUmbass got a Sears card to buy a fridge, washer and dryer.
DUmbass gets panties in a twist because Fox News is on HALF of the TV's. Didn't say what was on the other half, meaning it was either CNN or MSNBC, basically, anything BUT Fox News.
DUmbass WASN'T buying a TV! What damned difference does it make what the hell is on the damned TV? :hammer:

It was a good thing that he didn't get the new appliances. Fearless leader is going to demand that new appliances be green. The new stuff would be obsolete before ho got them home.

The clerk said the home office makes them tune in Faux Snooze.
I wonder if the DUmmy is lying through his tooth or if the clerk was having some fun poking this idiot.

I answer "YES".

This whole thread reminds me. I walked into my best friend's house the other day to both visit and pick up some much needed boxes she had for my move and she had Rush on. I told her I hear she is doing her part to incite hatred and violence :-) We both got a good laugh since she got the reference. I love having local conservative friends. :lmao:

Id say putting FOX News is an economically wise decision -
The odds are the station will scare off patrons who are the least likely to pay their bills.

I knew parts of this story sounded familiar.
IMHO the DUmmie made it up after reading about this:
Some federal workers complained that FNC leaned too far right. But Wallner had nothing to do with the satellite feed or what channel appeared on the big-screen. That decision is left up to the U.S. General Services Administration which is in charge of all federal courthouses.
The GSA at the Hatfield U.S. Courthouse heard complaints from people who don't even work in the building. The League of Women Voters of Portland actually took the matter up at a board meeting. Betsy Pratt, the league's president, said "more neutral media sources" were available. The League is officially a non-partisan group which participates in naturalization ceremonies inside the courthouse. When asked by Fox if she thought it was dangerous for newly sworn-in citizens to watch Fox News,

These people must live such miserable lives.
Why would anyone go home and type up a letter to corporate due to television sets being tuned to Fox News? It's so childish. If I worked in the Sears corporate office and received that e-mail, I would laugh and print it out and post it all over the office for people to laugh endlessly at.
Dear DUmmie, you are a loser! :loser:

I'm such a right-wing jerk, I spend my weekends going to every electronics, appliance and department store in Los Angeles county, turning every display TV I see to Fox News.
I'm sorry....wrong thread. :-)

It's hilarious that anyone would suggest the League of Women Voters is non-partisan. They are non-partisan in exactly the same way as the Urban Leage, AARP, ACORN, and the AFL-CIO.

No shit Sherlock! Like the "Home' office would give a rusty what they play on the TVs! Anything that embellishes the sharp picture and color balance is just fine with any retailer! It's probably on Fox because the majority of the clientele aren't as moonbat crazy as this DUmbass prick!
I sure would like one of these super science, genius, mostest smartest people on the planet, "experts" to list the lies told by Fox News, just once. Then they might have a point. Otherwise they just need to shut the **** up, since they're just so full of shit their eyes are brown, anyway!
-
Sears will do better without a whiney little bitch like this DUmmy as a customer. He would be calling up all the time complaining about every little thing that he perceived wrong with his purchase.

No kiddin'! This is the kinda guy that calls Sears Service to complain his washer don't work and when the serviceman shows up he plugs it in!

What a baby. What a whiny, spoiled, thin-skinned, liberal crybaby.

I have to agree. I've been in some Sears store mid-afternoon and the Young and the Restless was on. Oh no...it's a conspiracy of bored housewives spreading their evil to shoppers. :stoner:
-
I work for Sears and find this quite amusing. I've been in many different stores and they all seem to play whatever they wish on the TVs.
The only thing that matters to most stores is that what they put on is acceptable for anyone to watch if they so chose.

I went and had my mid-pregnancy ultrasound at Maternal Fetal Medicine a week ago. They had a TV in the waiting room tuned to CNN. You know what I did?
Read an effing magazine. Sheesh, people! :whatever:

What is a $5000 credit limit in the People's Republic of Californiastan when compared to a more conservative part of the country?

Clerk realized that he wasn't going to make a sale and probably just didn't want to hear his crap so he/she blamed it on the home office to shut the dummy up.

You mean you didn't throw a tantrum in the waiting room and blame the receptionist for brainwashing your baby?

And then I DEMANDED that they tune the TV to Maury or I would take my business elsewhere! They're not the only ultrasound place in town. I'm going to sit down and pen a very strongly worded letter.
:rotf:
-
No wonder he got quick action. When a DUmmy with a $5000 credit limit is unhappy, heads start rolling at the home office.

And clearly, Vivismom's baby could get brainwashed....check out the Tickerfactory moving right along! Where did the time go? :hyper:
