Death threat at ABC-TV Town Hall event Saturday
Posted: Jan 15, 2011 2:51 PM CST Updated: Jan 15, 2011 3:58 PM CST
Reporter: Forrest Carr Web producer: Sheryl Kornman
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) -The meeting room at St. Odilia's Catholic Church on the city's northwest side was packed with local dignitaries, witnesses to the mass shooting Jan. 8, some of the witnesses to the shootings and the first responders to the scene for a taping of an ABC-TV special, a town hall event, at 11 a.m. Saturday. Host of the program, This Week, is Christianne Amanpour. The show will air at 7 a.m. Sunday on KGUN9-TV.
Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was shot in the head at close range last Saturday by a lone gunman. She survived. A total of six people were killed. Nineteen were shot.
Jared Loughner, 22, a former Pima Community College student, is the sole suspect in the shootings. He is in FBI custody.
Toward the end of the town hall meeting Saturday morning, one of the shooting victims, J. Eric Fuller, took exception to comments by two of the speakers: Ariz. state Rep. Terri Proud, a Dist. 26 Republican, and Tucson Tea Party spokesman Trent Humphries.
According to sheriff's deputies at the scene, Fuller took a photo of Humphries and said, "You're Dead."
Deputies immediately escorted Fuller from the room.
Pima County Sheriff's spokesman Jason Ogan said later Saturday that Fuller has been charged with threats and intimidation and he also will be charged with disorderly conduct.
Among the dignitaries at the town hall taping were Mayor Bob Walkup, U.S. Rep. Raul Grijalva and former Congressman Jim Kolbe.

Hey Dems & Libtards?? How's that "playing nice" and let's get rid of violent rhetoric working for you??
-
Yeah that's rather inconvenient huh DUmmies?
-
Is this the same guy who went to Loughner's home to offer forgiveness but the parents wouldn't open the door?
Hmmmmm
-
:cheersmate: this should be fun to watch........what a douche. I am sure the left wishes he would of been shot a few more times. :fuelfire:
-
It appears something's missing from the guy's chin ... a couple of nuts ...
-
I'm sure there are about a hundred FOIA requests out for this guy's service record riiiiiiiiggggghhhhhttttt now.
-
But just yesterday he was a hero to the left because he dared to speak the truth about Palin, Limbaugh, Beck ETC. pulling the trigger.
I'll bet they excuse him for being "temporarily insane" due to the stress.

It appears that he was shot in the right place....the foot.
Now I'm beginning to wonder if he didn't do it himself.
-
I can't wait to see this video on The You-Tube. Ya think the pig Amanpour will let the post it? You can bet someone at KGUN will do it.

Has anyone confirmed if Eric Fuller is a veteran.
More info on Fuller.

I use extraordinary persuasive charisma to interest blase, apathetic, oblivious and at times hostile voters to listen to the voice of justice and consanguinity. My experiences encountering public figures and many affluent travelers in person has led me to believe that we all are to blame for George W. Bush.
Non-deep pocket with a lot of heart. Began life as a computer operator, military service leading to non-physical disability, unable to resume career, left main stream and lived in small towns for a decade studying library books and piano, moved into Tucson in 1994 and worked as a Chauffeur for most of 10 years, presented state-wide initiatives at libraries, worked elections, in ’09 worked at the Census Bureau as a field rep and a clerk. Non drinker for one year, non smoker for 40 years.

Has anyone confirmed this is not "the Fonz"? :-)
-
Fuller states that he is a veteran, appears to have gotten out around 1984 for "non-physical" disabilities (code for: mental issues)......I find it odd that a person can serve during a non-war period and come out having mental issues.

Perhaps non-physical had to do with his candy making hobby ...

Looks like a fag.
And a flake.

Hmmmmm
That's what I wondered too. I'm pretty sure it's the same gay, I mean guy.

CNN is reporting that Fuller has been involuntarily committed already, and yet Sheriff Dipshit let Loughner run loose for at least 4 years.
(CNN) -- A man who was shot but survived last Saturday's massacre in Tucson, Arizona, was taken to a county mental services unit Saturday after making a threatening comment at a town hall event, also in Tucson, Pima County Sheriff's Department spokesman Jason Ogan said.
James Eric Fuller, 63, was involuntarily committed after he made threats against a Tea Party member at the event sponsored by ABC News, Ogan said.
Fuller photographed Trent Humphries and said "You are dead" when Humphries began speaking at the event, according to Ogan.

Looks like a fag. And a flake.
Yes and yes.
A flaky, violent fag.

No, one wouldn't normally collect a VA disability pension for drugs.

Not drugs, he looks like he's more into packing fudge
-
I hope he has a nice stay in a local jailhouse for awhile.
-
That whole "civil tone" that Obama was calling for doesn't really work with the folks whose elevators don't go quite to top, does it?
Hope he gets the help he needs.
-
Moron.. I want to see what all the Main Sleaze Media will say about this on the Sunday shows tomorrow.
-
I hope that when they are done with him he will become a nice Bubba's boy but he may like that waaaaay too much

As for the topic, its what i expect.
He's a democrat.
A liberal.
They always try to blame someone else when things happen, usually the right, its never the perp's fault.

This is absolutely hysterical...

It sounds like one of those descriptions you see in a sleezy on line dating service profile...

[ Mr. Fuller was also involved in a confrontation on Jan. 8, shortly before the attack on Ms. Giffords, which occurred at an event she held for her constituents outside a Safeway supermarket. He said in a long interview last week with The New York Times that he had argued there with a man he described as a former Marine after a heated discussion over politics. Gabriel Zimmerman, an aide to Ms. Giffords, separated the two.
Mr. Zimmerman was killed in the attack later that morning.
Mr. Fuller spoke dismissively of Republicans during the interview. “They appeal to simple-minded rednecks,†he said.
He said that he had had trouble sleeping after he was wounded and that he calmed himself the first night by writing down the Declaration of Independence, which he had memorized three decades earlier.
In the first days after the attack, his anger seemed especially strong. In the interview, he repeatedly denounced the “Tea Party crime syndicate,†and said he placed some of the blame for the shooting on Sarah Palin and other Republican leaders, saying he believed they had contributed to a toxic atmosphere.
He said he had expected to see protesters at Ms. Giffords’s event, and had planned “to shout them down because I can make a lot of noise ]

Silly rabbit, don't you know that doesn't fit the agenda! Double-plus ungood!
But since you have otherwise toed the line here, your chocolate ration next week will be increased to 8 from 10 grams.

You said it.
He's on the Left, so expect him to get a free pass from the media and the Democrats, maybe even elevated to cult hero status, just like every other thug they champion.
Yup, so much for toning down the violent rhetoric. Of course, that only applies to us right-wingers; the Left can be as violent as it likes ::)

Heck, even Fox News chick this morning wrote him a hall pass, "He was probably suffering from PTSD".

Uh, yeah--no.
-
I don't know how long this guy was in the Navy, but unless he was in some serious combat (which is possible, but unlikely) I tend to doubt that PTSD would be an issue. He's 63, so it's possible that he was in Viet Nam. PTSD is rather uncommon for Navy folks. I'll have to wait to ascertain what Fuller did while he was USN to make further judgments on his alleged service induced "non-physical" disabilities.

She was referencing his having been shot in the recent attack, not his service.

I was thinking the same thing Thor. I'm 61 and I was in Viet Nam, so it would stand to reason he was in about the same time.
-
Like I said, FOIA Request. Then all things shall be made clear.
-

No, the article was reference his "compensated disability" from the VA and that's what I was referencing. With rare exception, like he was in the SEAL Team, or a river patrol squadron, he really wouldn't have been subjected to too much actual "battle". Like Sparky said, the 214 would bring things into a little better light. Unlike WWII or Desert Storm, there weren't any Navy ships that hit mines or did much else than support roles. There were combat rescue helicopter crewman that saw battle during Nam, too. However, I don't recall seeing him affiliated with any of those squadrons.

Ok, but it you follow the chain of posts that led to your reply we were talking about what the chick on Fox News said, not what the article said. And she was writing him a hall pass based on the recent shooting, not his service record.

Heck, even Fox News chick this morning wrote him a hall pass, "He was probably suffering from PTSD".
That's the problem with the Right - we are too quick to make concessions to the Left and want to play nice and, sometimes, buy into their excuse-making.
The only thing he is suffering from is liberalism.

Fuller said he's been a "non-drinker for one year". One usually doesn't make a comment like that unless they are a recovering alcoholic.
I saw "non-physical disability" but did not see where he receives a disability check from the VA. I think one can get SSI disability for alcoholism....maybe that's what he really gets instead of a VA check?

He could have been a corpsman with the marines ( aka sea going bell hops ). But I still think he is really Henry Winkler (uncanny resembelence) in which case it was caused when he "Jumped the Shark". :yahoo:

I was reading MSNBC and their posters say this is clearly a case of PTSD. :bs:

I may be reading too much into this, but normally, when someone talks about travelers (or fellow travelers) in a political sense, they are referring to commies. He might not mean that, but I thought it was interesting.
'extraordinary persuasive charisma' = death threats to political opponents. Nice.

Suspect Apologizes (http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2011/01/17/national/main7254844.shtml)
Fuller apologized through his girlfriend, Dorothy Deruyter.
Fuller apologized for his "misplaced outrage."
Deruyter said Fuller has no family or children, and was coping with the shooting almost entirely on his own and lost his temper.
So I guess the media can just pretend this never happened now...er, wait, they were doing that already. :whatever:

What a shitty girlfriend she is for not helping him cope with his "PTSD".
-
Uh, yeah--not buying it. If he were sorry, he would have apologized HIMSELF, not relied upon his significant other to do his work for him.
I still wanna see his 214.

You will NEVER, EVER see it. It is locked up in the same vault as Obama's Birth Certificate...
-
Even though he is in his mid-60's and his career is on the down swing, he has been involuntarily committed to the nuthouse.
Now there is a great resume and background check builder...
