Does anyone else see a link between the increase in gas prices and the new Rethug Congress?

Seems like it happens every time... get a Rethug dominated government, get a spike in gas prices. The oil companies know they have a free reign when Rethugs come into government.

Even the most economically unsophisticated people (such as myself) realize this...

Now all of a sudden gas prices are a problem again. 2 months ago when they started rising not a peep.

Here's a reminder for you DUmmies it wasn't a repuke that said energy prices will needfully skyrocket, it was Obama who said that.

Good GOD!  It's like their minds are made of origami paper that can be re-folded to suit any situation.  Gas prices started rising last summer!  Did anybody hear a peep from the talking heads and mushmouth morons at DU?  No.

I've really noticed in the past 2 months how they are rising but, you are right it did start in the summer maybe late spring now that I think of it.

When did gas hit $4.00/gallon?  Hmmmmm

Oh yeah!  I remember now!  It was the summer of 2008.  Yeah, that's when it cost me $140.00 to fill up the 37 gallon tank I had on my F-150.  Hmmmm  When did the Democratics take over both houses?

A., that's the positive side of us winning only one house, it is an evenly-divided Congress, and

B., it's the President that takes the rap or gets the credit, just or unjust as that may be, on both the bread-and-butter and big-picture economic issues.

Exactly.  The populace wasn't blaming Congress for it, even with both Houses firmly in Dumbocrat hands.

Some president's team is constantly blocking drilling or coal fields which one is it.  There is also a rumor that the same president wants to tax all energy.

If limiting supply, increasing regulations, and higher and newer taxes going to bring down energy prices what will?

Funny thing how since Glorious Leader Obama announced that moratorium oil has gone up $12/bbl.

Was  jxnmsdemguy65 born an idiot, or did someone drop he/she/it on it's head as a child? Maybe someone threw it up in the air as a baby and forgot to catch it.   :mental:

Yeah.....

Not trying to be a party pooper or anything, but I was paying over $3 a gallon before we even voted in the November elections.

It's been longer than that.  When Obumbles took office, gas prices in my town for regular unleaded was $1.61 a gallon.  I just noticed today it was at $3.14.

Hey DUmbshit?! Ever get off the couch and try to learn what is happening to this Country? Ever hear of a drilling moratorium? Yeah, the one the limp wristed community organizer put into effect? Do yourself and your brain a google search and do some investigation of your own.
