This list is in order of who is most likely to win the New Hampshire Primary, if it were held today. Factors for a person's placement on the ranking include local polling, name recognition, number of visits to the state, and quality of local supporters. Rankings will be updated monthly or as major campaign events occur.
====================================
Some I agree with, some I think are just loony. Discuss.

Discuss? OK. The New Hampshire primary and the Iowa caucuses are the two most distorting factors in our entire primary election system, neither one carries any significant number of electoral votes but they have a wildly grotesque effect on the shape of primaries in the states that do matter later. On the plus side, at least the NH ones are actually elections instead of the cosmetically-polite gang fighting, dirty dealing, and skullduggery the Iowa caucuses represent.

Number 18... :stoner:

Well sort of but when you have an incumbent and no opponent along with a large number of independents you can end up with a John McCain type. Candidates like NH because it is a cheap boost to the national stage. Clinton didn't win in NH but it propelled him ahead none the less.
-
And let's not forget Reagan lost in Iowa, and it looked like he had lost the momentum going into New Hampshire, to the point where Jon Breen (Nashua Telegraph editor and debate moderator) wanted to cut off Reagan's microphone for issues relating to Bob Dole's being upset with how the debate the weekend prior to the NH primary was set up. There's more to it, but that's a good start.
That's when Reagan went apeshit and said, "I am paying for this microphone, Mister Green," (He got Breen's name wrong) and the crowd went nuts. A lot of folks credit that as how he won NH, and the momentum he gained from that also gained him the GOP nomination.
Seemingly the smallest things can change history...

I think that list of 30 names is missing just a couple more - only because you never know until they announce:
1. Bill Ayers
2. Ted Nugent
3. Snow White and the Seven Dwarves (Doc is Chief of Staff and Grumpy is the Human Resources Czar)
-
I'm forming an exploratory committee, myself. I figure two more years of O-baaaa-ma and the American people will elect "an upside-down mop with a bucket for a head"
-
Some of the people on that list are downright ridiculous. Joe Lieberman? :wtf2:

Hey, Mitt Romney is the odds-on favorite up here right now. How strange can Lieberman be?

Let's hope that that Romney sentiment in NH doesn't spread like a cancer.

Ron Paul eh?? here we go again ::) I would like to see Sarah Palin as president myself..........
-
My head exploded when I reached No. 29:
Bloomberg would be much higher on this list if it were for one thing: He's an independent, and unless he became a Republican again, he wouldn’t compete in the state’s presidential primary.
That's the commentary. The analysts have their heads up their asses.

You have the patience of Job. I got to number #8 before my stomach revolted and I puked.

Isn't the S.C. republican primary the second in the nation? If so I see only 2 names on there that will get the most votes here... Jim DeMint and Sarah Palin.
If you don't like those 2 names, better find some better ones than what's on that list.

Same here. An outsider that would shake up things in DC would be great.
