5. The Constitution -- Early American Hypocrisy. Written by men who talked of freedom/liberty. Then
They went home and raped/beat their slaves, killed Native Americans for their land, and prohibited women from voting. Needs a bit of work in these modern times.

Explains why they had a hissy fit over reading the constitution.

Yeah right. That "hypocrisy" that gives you the right to express your opinion. Learn something. People that write colums and blogs don't give you your freedom. It's those of us who put on a uniform and sacrifice and believe in what the Founding Fathers did and stand on that wall to defend you in the freezing cold.

They make it so obvious how horrible today's history classes are... :banghead:

And the Second Amendment gives me the right to shoot you if I don't like what you had to say.
There really is no bottom to their pit-of-stupid, is there? ::) ::)

No, and even when they reach bottom, they start digging. :hammer:
-
Look, even the glorious leader lord Obama has said why they hate the Constitution.
It declares what the government cannot do. The CDP wants something that states what the government can do to you...ahh...er for you...my bad...you know.

"They went home and raped/beat their slaves, killed Native Americans for their land, and prohibited women from voting. Needs a bit of work in these modern times."
Unless there are provisions in the Constitution that explicitly call for these things, they cannot be cited in any argument either for or against the Constitution. A prima face case of apples and oranges.
What this is is a typical liberal ploy - the ad hominem. Since they can't discredit the Constitution based on what's written in it, they attack it by attacking the character traits and practices of the men who wrote it. Liberals always show that they can't win arguments based on the merit of their positions, because they have none - all they can do are throw cheap shots and make fun of people.
There is nothing in the Constitution that states that White men must own slaves, that White men must beat or rape their slaves, that Amerindians (or whatever you want to call them), and that women must not be allowed to vote. Those issues are ancillary to the Constitution and what's actually written in it.
Furthermore, we legitimately conquered the Americas from the Amerindians. The right of conquest gives us the right to inhabit this land. No one cared when Amerindian Tribe A conquered and dispossessed Native American Tribe B, so no one should care when Whites come in and do it to all of them all at once. Boo hoo.
Women didn't vote and didn't care to. They certainly didn't feel oppressed and certainly were not treated so.
As for slaves, they had it better on White farms than back in Africa, or even now, living in fear of their lives from their own.
Leave it to a liberal to miss the boat. Again.

There were fifty six men that signed the declaration of independence. Included in that number were many men that did not own any slaves and more than a few who were active abolitionists. Remember this line, "He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them." That line came from the delegations of several colonies whose legislatures had acted to ban slavery but had theur legislation suspended and essentially over ruled by the king.
Of course, it all comes back to Thomas Jefferson, the only founding father any of them know about, and much of what they know is slander. Thomas Jefferson did not beat his slaves, and there is no evidence to suggest he ever raped Sally Hemmings. Thomas Jefferson's wife dying request was that he not re-marry. Sally Hemmings was her half sister, and it is said, quite beautiful. Jefferson begged Sally to return with him from France, she didn't have to. I'm not saying he did absolutely right by her, but he isn't the first or the last person to not be able to live up to his promises.
The native Americans waged war against each other and the whites. They were repeatedly used by the British against the United States. One constant rule of warfare is that it sucks to lose.
The constitution did not address women's voting rights. The states were free to have done as they chose.

The truth of that statement will fly over the CDPs of the dump.
