How to deflect the argument that the left jumped to conclusions in AZ.
I rarely create posts, but I am compelled to share this POV, in light of the accusations that the "left" was vindictive, irresponsible, or hate-mongering, by assuming that the Tuscon shooting was politically motivated, and for calling out the hate-merchants.
As I watched the moving speech by our President, I reflected on whether I was guilty of jumping to conclusions or unfairly wanting to cast blame on the vitriol from the right, that has dominated our political landscape for the past several years. Yes, I was right there with most of you, decrying Palin's gun sight maps, and her "don't retreat, reload" comments, and the myriad of violent images and words that she and those like her have made public.
I realized that because it was WIDELY known that Rep. Giffords had been the target of numerous death threats over the health care vote, vandalism and other crimes against her offices, and had someone show up with a gun to one of her events in the past, OF COURSE any reasonable person would decry the violent political rhetoric when the shooting occurred. It's not as if she, or other members of the Democratic Party, haven't been threatened repeatedly, or been one arrest warrant away from being harmed or killed. This did not happen in a vacuum.
A man was just arrested in California for making extremely detailed death threats against Rep. McDermott in California. Had McDermott become a victim of an attack, the first place we would look for answers, would be the very people that make those death threats. Rep. Giffords received numerous death threats from the right wingers, from the people that listen to Palin and others that ratchet up the paranoia. Perhaps in this case it was not someone motivated by those people... but what of the others that are stopped before they attack?
Had people like Palin, Angle,Beck, et al, NOT specialized in the language of threats and violence, there would not be a massive focus on them when something like this happens. They would be no more suspect than any other public figure. They created their own reality and now they think that they are the victims in this. They're not. They are trying to deflect the reason why they became the focus of the debate so that people will forget that the words and images are out there, and people of paranoid, unstable, or angry, minds will use them as they will.

With deflections, of course!! :hammer:

God forbid they ever actually face the ****ing truth.

Wasn't that not retreating and reload statement from a conversation with her daughter while they were shooting skeet? Just how in the hell do you get angry rhetoric out of that?
Wile E. Coyote, Super Genius!
Somehow I don't think that's mayonnaise on yer face, circlejerk!

In other words...even though we were wrong we will say we were right because it could have been.

I'm getting to the point where I can't read any more of the far-left's explanations/"reasoning"/etc. about the shootings in AZ. They're so bat-shit crazy it's making my brain hurt.

These brain dead mental midgets just can't let it go, can they?
Hey, DUmbasses, I have an idea: Since you can't seem to wrap your pointy little heads around the fact that you were wrong and the country has had a very visceral reaction to your grave dancing, I think you need to just keep going. Yep, that's right, keep running with this insane point of view. Don't let a little thing like common decency and humanity deter you from your present course.
For that matter, I would go so far as to say you need to encourage the poo-flinging howler monkeys on your side to stay quiet and make demands that the prominent figures on the right condemn this "violent rhetoric" of those who dare speak out against you and your ideas for "making the country better". You know that Sarah, Rush, Sean, Glenn, et al had no direct influence on the whackaloon that shot Rep Giffords (D), but I think that these are things you need to do to keep convincing us that you know what is in our best interest.
Sincerely,
Me

And no Republican Senator or Rep. has had death threats upon them? Really?

Noooo never. As a matter of fact not one DUmmie threatened or wished ill of Joe Liberman when he switched to Indie. :whatever: :whistling:

And they all have a soft spot in their hearts for Zell Miller.

And the cure for this DUmbassetery, "Can we apply the same to muslims and illegal alien crimes, terrorist acts, and murders?"
-
Bet Sara Palin gets a few death threats here and there. Had it been her that was shot the vile asses wouldn't even feign sympathy. They'd be pissed she didn't die. I honestly don't think they have the capacity to see they do it too...the exact same thing, using the exact same language. And neither side is responsible. How can you be so freaking stupid? The only tenuous connection to words the shooter has was a fear of the grammar police. Evidently parsing sentences is a kind of mind control, well and some kind of higher math. Oh and 9/11 was an inside job. Come to think of it, that really, really affected him. Which side of the aisle put those ideas into his head?

Amen. The Left is nut - absolutely nuts. The Right has to be at fault here, and the more the facts prove otherwise, the more frantic and desperate the Left's attempts to smear the Right and find a way to blame us for the shooting.
Liberals are such sickos.

...And thereby not only make yourself look like an opportunistic, partisan, hypocritical lying weasel, but one with a serious denial problem to boot.

Now DAT, you know they don't allow mirrors on the 'Island, so there's no possible way that they DUmmies would be able to notice that they're "hypocritical, lying weasels with serious denial problems".

Oh, absolutely, but they are talking about how to respond to confrontations with real people calling them to account for their baselesss and hateful spewings of the past week. I was speaking of how the rational non-DUers would perceive their BS.

I certainly don't need to be lectured to by Mr. "They Bring A Knife To The Fight, We'll Bring A Gun" Putz AA Obama. :fuelfire:
Civility was dead in politics about twenty minutes after the Republic was formed. There has been widespread dissentation and much ugliness since cavemen existed.
But, by all means, comfort yourselves that this situation is uniquely tailoring for a ****ING T-SHIRT.
Has any other president ever sunk so low in politicking? Seriously?

Turns out this slogan, "Together We Thrive" came from crap in 2008 and the campaign trail! The dipshits couldn't even come up with somethin' original. Don't know true it is, but there's rumors they postponed the "rally" in order to print the ****in' shirts!
Wouldn't surprise me in the least! Community Organizer/Whore in Chief! I hope all those that voted for this prick are satisfied!

Eh, those pricks are satisfied nightly, by themselves, as the jack off to the imminent arrest of KKK Rove. Twenty-four business hours only to await the miracle. :mental:

They can't handle the truth. All they can do is practice circular logic. They always end right back where they started. It's in their Genes. :banghead:
