Why did John Boehner refuse to fly to Tucson on Air Force One?
Surely he understood the importance of coming together after this terrible tragedy, when a member of his own House was gunned down?
Was he really so fearful of Limbaugh and the Tea Baggers that he was willing to sacrifice doing the right thing rather than have them criticize him for flying on the same plane as the President?
Have they so lost touch with reality?
Just days after a couple of Republicans chose to attend a fundraiser rather than to be sworn into office as the next Congressmen from their districts?
What was more important than the people in Tucson and the need of the American people to come together?
A political get together in Washington?
And this guy is a leader?

2. Your second paragraph nails it
The fundraiser was a diversion. It could have easily been rescheduled under the circumstances.
But the ration of shit he would have caught from the lunatic fringe of his party would never go away.
Boner is sort of skating on awful thin ice with the wackos as it is, what with his comments about raising the debt limits and a few other feeble attempts to inject reality into the equation. He can't afford to piss the kooks off anymore. He's probably gotten death threats already.
Yeah, we have seen "the love" from DU for the new Speaker of the House.

and that kept him away.
More trashing of Boehner follows over there. The DUmmies fail to or don't want to realize the line of succession puts John Boehner right near the top. Rarely do the top people appear together at open events. BTW, Uncle Joe isn't mentioned, but he's not exactly in a safe place right now. He's in Iraq (http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/iraq/2011-01-13-biden-iraq_N.htm?csp=YahooModule_News).

If Mother Teresa were the Republican Speaker of the House, DUmmies would find a way to bash her relentlessly too. :whatever:
-
Another lose lose setup by the DUmmies.
Where they can bash him as uncaring and insensitive if he doesn't go.
Or trash him as a media hogging tear stained attention whore if he does go.

That's probably it. A lot of honkies don't like Colt45.

Exactly my thought too and if he showed any emotion they would ridicule him for that.
-
Further proof that when dealing with liberals, they view EVERYTHING through a prism of partisan politics.
-
Was Reid or Pelosi in Tucson?
-
Was Reid or Pelosi in Tucson?
Both were I believe.
-
Leave it to the DUmmies to yet again not even have an original thought between the 100K of them over there.
This crap is just regurgitated DNC talking points they saw in Politico. The original snide comments about the Speaker not being there were made in that rag.
And never mind the fact that it's been known for almost a week he wouldn't be attending.
-
I don't really care if he attended the pep rally or not. What happened last night in Tucson was NOT a memorial.
-

That's awfully high class for the Prez. I figured he'd be a Schlitz or Mad Dog kinda guy.
-
He probably has enough T-shirts, bein' he's one of those nasty capitalists! Besides, they looked like those one size fits all tents!
-
It was probably a security risk. With all those rabid dims calling for blood I can't blame the guy for staying away.
-
Why would Boehner attend a democrat campaign gala?
Remember how Trent Lott was booed at the dead Wellstone pep rally?

Apparently the moonbats at Obama's rally booed Governor Brewer last night.

Please tell me there's a youtube clip of that.

Even as it began, some conservative commentators were posting comments criticizing the memorial service for being overly partisan and more like a pep rally, and there were some boos in the hall when Gov. Jan Brewer, a Republican, spoke. Those reactions would have been hard to imagine, say, in the days after the Oklahoma City bombing.

Well, that would confirm my suspicions that Obiewan staged the event and loaded the place full of DUmbshits! Real Arizonans luv their Gov, she's the only one tryin' to slow the flow of illegal welfare recipients!
Anybody spot any busloads of SEIU members?

University of Arizona students.

It was not a memorial, but a rally. Sick! :bird:
-
The DUmmies are insisting that all the whooping and hollering of the students was "their way of mourning".
They should've had a Van Halen cover band there, so they could really get their grief on.
-
With Obama in AZ, and Biden in Iraq...there is no way that Boehner would be allowed to go anywhere that involved travel, being as he's 3rd in line to the presidency.
Pelosi is no longer important and Reid isn't in succession.
Gosh...aren't the Dummies supposed to know this...being as they know everything about US Government?

I dunno! These uh, ladies, sure look familiar!

Aren't those the shirts they were given out last night at the "memorial"? Glenn Beck had a shot of the shirts that were on every single chair in that auditorium. That slogan looks very familiar.
Anyone see Beck's show today?

It'll look even more familiar on May 1st, when the SEIU bunch get together with the la Raza '¡Si se pueda!' crowd to orchestrate their annual, "spontaneous", **** up the works protest to support illegals pissing on American laws. There will be a lot of these shirts in that crowd then.

****in' La Raza and the SEIU. How much more un-American can they get?
La Raza is self explanatory and the SEIU should be ashamed of themselves for soaking this Country for all the monies and their back door policies with this imposter.
-
Bunch of low class asshats. And a Hi5 to TRG for his first post too, they couldn't care less as long as they score points with the voters otherwise this whole asking for "Civility ', now that 5 or 6 people are dead is nothing but another talking point for the Dems and the lamestream media.
