Just thought I'd ask for a correction on Mr. Pitt's FB page - I'm sure I will not be his friend much longer. Oh well.
"I assume as a professional journalist you will be putting out that correction now that Mr. Loughner's best friend said he didn't listen to talk radio, didn't watch the news, and didn't really pick sides in politics. It would appear he was just your average, everyday psycho who was obsessed with Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.
Can we expect that within the next 24 business hours, Mr. Pitt?"

I didn't know that was you on my friends list. :thatsright:
Someone else called him out, too.
Donald White
I think a public apology should be posted for your tea bag rant on Saturday.

I'm not sure Donald White is one of us. It is hard for me keeping track of who is who on Facebook from here but I'm getting there!
-
I am hazarding a guess that Mr. White might be a personal acquaintance of Mr. Pitt's, but I could be mistaken. I will be checking back to see if your comment gets scrubbed or responded to.

Sniffle. It's gone. Dissapeered.

Yep and so is the other one. William Rivers Pitt is a fraud.
-
What a big wuss he is. He un-friended me, too.
That tells me all I really need to know, though.
-
My private FB message to Mr. Pitt:
"Why won't you issue a retraction for your rant the other day? A true professional would admit to making an error and move on. Oh, and let's not talk about your threats of bodily harm against another member of the DU. Talk about anger and inciting violence. Good day, Mr. Pitt. You're a loser."
-
So Pitt "bounced" the comments he didn't like, huh? Well at least he found somethin' he was big enough to "bounce"!
****in' *****!

****in' *****!
Thy name is Will Pitt. Why do you think he bounces at the local midget hangout?

Just came upon this in the comment sections (of a MA newspaper) to a political cartoon. Mr. Pitt is either waco, or has a fan base.
-
Here's what I posted on Truthout.org comments about Pitts "editorial" on the Palin video:
Placing blame for the stupidity of one insane leftist on Rush, Palin, Hannity, Levin, Boortz, the Tea Party, Talk Radio, Fox News, etc., is like placing the blame for misspelled words on a pencil.
As far as Sarah lifting a line from the WSJ and using it, I seem to recall a certain William Rivers Pitt being accused of plagiarism for lifting entire paragraphs for his tomes. Pot, meet Kettle.
I also seem to recall Pitt being banned from Democrat(ic)Underground.com for making threats of violence against one of the self-proclaimed homeless posters on that forum.
I guess we will expect an apology from Pitt and the left for trying to make political hay out of this tragedy in "24 business hours", right?

I like this one:
Adam Wood Jan 12
"This is how they get others to follow them. They make themselves out to be victims, and convince their followers that they, too, are victims."
You've described yourself to a T, Will. Poor, poor Will Pitt and the rest of the perpetually-oppressed Left who are absolutely TRAUMATIZED by *gasp* a circle with two lines across it, one horizontal and one vertical.
Tell ya what, Will. How about you take twenty-four business hours to sober up and see if you can manage to come up with some actual comprehension of the English language. While you're at it, perhaps your skin will dry out and thicken up some.
Then, after you're on your twenty-four-business-hour dryout, come back and show where you and your Leftist fruitcake buddies ever got upset about these examples of WONDERFULLY RESPECTFUL discourse:
"I hate the Republicans and everything they stand for..."
-- Howard Dean
"If I had my way, I would see Katherine Harris and Ken Blackwell strapped down to electric chairs and lit up like Christmas trees. The better to light the way for American Democracy and American Freedom!"
-- Democratic Talk Radio's Stephen Crockett
"The man is on the Court. You know, I hope his wife feeds him lots of eggs and butter and he dies early, like many black men do, of heart disease. Well, that's how I feel. He is an absolutely reprehensible person."
-- Julianne Malveaux on Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas on PBS.
"I think he ought to be worried about what's going on in the Good Lord's mind, because if there is retributive justice, he'll get AIDS from a transfusion, or one of his grandchildren will get it."
-- Nina Totenberg NPR, commenting on Senator Jesse Helms
"I have good news to report. Glenn Beck appears closer to suicide. I'm hoping that he does it on camera....given his alcoholism and his tendencies towards self-destruction, I am only hoping that when Glenn Beck does put a gun to his head and pulls the trigger, that it’s on television, because somebody will capture it on YouTube and it will be the most popular little piece of video for months."
-- Liberal radio host, Mike Malloy
" I wish Sarah Palin and Levy Johnson would have been onboard the airplane crash that killed former Alaska Senator Ted Stevens. A dead Palin would be even more dangerous than a live one...she is all about her myth and if she was dead, she wouldn't be the target of the liberals attempting to embarrass her."
- New Hampshire Democratic State Representative Timothy Horrigan
(Yes, that's right: an *ELECTED DEMOCRAT* wishing for Sarah Palin's death. But no outrage from Will Pitt or the inmates at DU over that one.)
"My Congressman Eric Cantor, and you and your cupcake evil wife...Remember Eric...our judgment time, the final Yom Kippur has been given. You are a liar, you're a Lucifer, you're a pig, a greedy ****ing pig, you're an abomination, you receive my bullets in...your office, remember they will be placed in your heads. You and your children are Lucifer's abominations."
-- Norman Laboom, long-time Democrat activist and Obama campaign contributor
"You guys see Live and Let Die, the great Bond film with Yaphet Kotto as the bad guy, Mr. Big? In the end they jam a big CO2 pellet in his face and he blew up. I have to tell you, Rush Limbaugh is looking more and more like Mr. Big, and at some point somebody’s going to jam a CO2 pellet into his head and he’s going to explode like a giant blimp. That day may come. Not yet. But we’ll be there to watch."
-- Chris Matthews
"Republicans don't believe in the imagination, partly because so few of them have one, but mostly because it gets in the way of their chosen work, which is to destroy the human race and the planet. Human beings, who have imaginations, can see a recipe for disaster in the making; Republicans, whose goal in life is to profit from disaster and who don't give a hoot about human beings, either can't or won't. Which is why I personally think they should be exterminated before they cause any more harm."
-- The Village Voice's Michael Feingold
"My administration is the only thing between you and the pitchforks."
"They Bring a Knife…We Bring a Gun."
"Get in Their Face!"
"I don’t want to quell anger. I think people are right to be angry! I’m angry!"
"Punch back twice as hard!"
"We talk to these folks…so I know whose ass to kick."
"A Republican victory would mean hand to hand combat."
"Punish your enemies."
"I'm itching for a fight."
-- Barack Obama
Let's just put this as simply, plainly, and in the most understandable way possible: Will, you are a wildly hypocritical, dishonest, self-absorbed, drunken blowhard, and all this stupid spew that you just wrote for your adoring inmates at DU is nothing but one big, fat, idiotic lie.

I tied to post this earlier but must have fat fingered something.
Love your Avatar, Yoink!
Here was one of my favorite comments......
Mr. Pitt. Your article is very unprofessional. Anyone who has to rely on comparisons such as the unfortunate happenings in Arizona and a politician's activities is one step shy of 'gutter tactics.'
If you have differences with a person's politics, write about the pros and cons. It would be refreshing if you employed 'facts.'
Don't resort to such sophomoric rhetoric as, "Poor, poor Sarah. We weep bitter tears for your travails." Please show me what chapter in your Journalism textbook this particular technique was recommended as a professional approach. You bash the right-wing. Look in the mirror. What image do you see?
Any one reading this blog who is infatuated by it needs to get a clue; needs to reintroduce themselves to the Constitution and ensure that our children look upon our leaders as such and are inclined to choose a career in govenment leadership. My hope is that they don't read blogs like this, but, rather, study our forefathers and approach the political system absent of the bias you and the right spew forth.

I have several libs on my FB. They keep their stupidity to themselves and I won't delete them :-) On the other hand I don't wipe their noses in their narrow mindedness. It works.

My memory must be going because I don't remember though I vaguely remember a Robert I had to delete. I hate it when I cannot remember conversations. Grrrrrrrrr!

None of them broke the top 700,000. :rotf:

You mean he actually shows up???
Will wonders never cease! If it weren't for the age of computers, no one in hell would keep him in any kind of data base! I think my dogs have written better stuff! Every once in a while I swear I can see words and images in their poop! of course it's usually the day after they have gotten in the trash, but hey, it's gotta be better than anything the PurplePimplePit has written.

I've learned a fair amount about the Primitives during my tenure at The Cave, however, I never remember hearing that PittVomit was an actual author. That might just say something.

If I remember right, it was more like a pamphlet. WillPitt asked penetrating questions like "is that so?" and "oh really?", and Scott Ritter responded with delusional anti-Bush propaganda, repeated over and over again. A former member (either here or at CU, it's been awhile) did an excellent review.
-
Are you telling me that Pitt refers to himself as a "bestselling author" or somesuch?
I once got a letter to the editor published in a city of 75,000. If only 10% of the population bought a paper, that's 7,500 at $1 each! Awesome me!! Awesome Sauce!!

I still have a letter I sent in to the New York Post about a starting pitcher for the Mets (R.A. Dickey), sitting in my cubicle. Four different co-workers saw it, too, and pointed it out to me, so . . . I had to put it up. I told a few people that I was "a published author." Hell, if Pittstain could do it, so could I.
ETA: Since that Sunday edition of the Post sold over a million copies, I suppose that I could say that I'm a "bestselling author," too.
-
I never remember hearing that PittVomit was an actual author.
He's not. His only claims to fame are stealing a bogus scoop from a drug-addled Jason Leopold, and a plagiarized phrase quoted by D-list celeb Michael Moore. His Bush-hatred pamphlets were screeds plagiarized from the DUmp, printed by a vanity publisher who was paid by his mother. DUmmy Pitt is a hopeless alcoholic bum, nothing more or less. Awesome sauce.
-

I'm not goin' to look it up, as watchin' paint dry is more to my liking than anything associated with GreasePit, but does it show how many copies he's actually sold, and whether or not he bought them all himself?

My 8th grade teacher posted my short story about a horse up on the school bulletin board. Said it was the best story ever written by one of her students.
I didn't even get any royalties. But at least I'm not a douchebag author.
