Glenn Beck's secret revealed!
For the first time in a very long time, I have cable TV again. Don't ask me why I broke down and got it, ending a years-long personal boycott of Corporate Media Infoganda. For years and years I refused, now finally I have it again.
Since I do, I now scan Cable TV News to see just how bad it has gotten with my own eyes. DU and youtube are great and all, but nothing beats seeing with one's own eyes. In short, it's far worse even than it ever was out their in Corporate Infogandaland.
As with most people, I have watched even more Cable TV Nonsense due to this tragedy, and even for the first time in years also have sampled for as long as I can stomach it...yes...Fox.
Wow. What a crazy 21st Century Kinder and Gentler Nazi Fest it is over there! Maybe the tragedy will force it to tone down but DON'T YOU BANK ON IT.
So I'm watching the opening of Beck last night and his pious denunciations of violence (no mention of strangling Michael Moore, eh?) using MLK.
I'm steaming at the shameless hypocrisy, and sitting there thinking that's exactly what he wants. Standard Bushiganda or Naziganda strategy. Piss off your opponent to put them off their game. And they are right, too. It works. Anger fuels a chemical reaction that drops IQ 20 points, studies have revealed. It's a standard sports strategy, but as we have seen from Bill Parcells' "working the ref" (and owning him through Corporate HQ) as it translates to their RW Propaganda and Viral Media Strategy, sports strategies can be very effective, especially when combined with trillions of dollars and all the power of the Military-Intelligence Complex.
But WAIT. There's something else going on here in plain sight. It was nagging at me. Something about Beck's intonations and body language, deviating from his usual "Evil Mr. Rogers" persona. It was off just a bit, and so subtle I don't think my conscious mind picked up on it at first.
But it nagged at me. Then, just now, it came to me in a flash.
Glenn Beck quotes Martin Luther King, Jr. to his audience when he wants them to know not to take what he says seriously. (but pretend like Glenn that they do)
Glenn Beck uses MLK as a dog-whistle to both the conscious (of the meaner, racist half of his audience) and the subconscious (of the nicer, more clueless half of his audience - yes they exist at least until they start moving up the rungs of the RWs Ladder of Hate) of his audience.
Every winger and partaker of RW propaganda knows MLK was a socialist and a communist and all that. Most of them despise him at some level, especially the Confderate portion of his audience, which I am sure is a significant percentage.
I mean, it doesn't make sense from a marketing perspective. Why talk about MLK to a demographic that is going to be turned off by the subject? Because it's the secret little Nazi game. It's as if Josef Goebbels had to make pious declarations that he would never harm a single hair on a Jew's head, that he denounces violence and here is a quote about nonviolence from the great Zionist Leader Theodore Herzl.
Wow. What can I say but...wow. Maybe I am out of touch and somebody else has figured it out before, but I have never seen this anywhere before. What does everyone think?
Am I on to something here?

I think you're a nutjob. :mental:
Seriously? All this free time, and instead of trying to be a productive member of society, they come up with shit like this? REALLY?

Maybe?!?! I think "definitely" would be the better word there.
-
Thinks DU and YouTube are valid sources for factual information? :lmao: :lmao:
Seriously though, notice not one example of anything said that was hateful, just the accusation.
We have spent days now finding them (hats off to Freeper) posted at the DUmp.

What amazes me is the vicious, mind shockingly horrid things the left says OUTRIGHT gets played down, but, conservatives are hated for using "code speech" and "dog whistles".
-
ZERO BONG, that DUchebag never gave up cable. What would it do between bong hits and going to the local 7-11?

Translated: I finally paid off the past due balance and they turned it back on.

I just read the thread. At least 3 DUmmies castigated Beck, while informing us all that they don't watch him. Such stupid f'n sheeple.
-
That's it! We just have to read between the lines! I knew I sent in those box tops to get my VRWC super secret decoder ring for a reason!
Oh puhleeeeeeeeeeeeze! If you DUmbass claw at any more straws, Burger King is goin' to have a shortage, then where will y'all be? If you pukes can't suck, you'll die of frustration!
Oh wait, maybe that's a good idea! Carry on!!!!!!

He tells the truth. Secret revealed.
Am I on to something here?
No, but I think you are ON something.

What a loontard. Dog whistles? Really? Beck always gets accused of rabid, violent hate speech. It's obvious they don't watch him. He's gentle as a lamb. Like a Methodist Minister or something.
Rabid violent hate speech is Ed Schultz and Mike Malloy, et. al.

This DUmmie spun the very lame bouncy of not watching cable for years to justify watching Fox news under the pretext of "research".
It's sad when they're this transparent. Maybe we could talk Wilber R Pittshit into giving creative writing classes to the masses in an attempt to get some better class bouncies?

So THAT'S where all the mind bleach is!! You're hoarding. :ohnoes: :ohnoes:

Actually I did send away for one of those rings as a kid and I was introduced to the art of advertising.
The long anticipated ring came and what a let down, the ring was all dark gray and the top would not spin to decode anything. Then in 2 weeks or so the program went off the air.
Glen beck is interesting as he does sneak in to his talks much Mormon beliefs, but then these are survival methods. I enjoy his history lessons and the comparison between way back then and now. I would say he has the best research staff money can buy, so far none can find fault with his information.
What, say 3 years and he just may run for office of some sort somewhere.

From Wikipedia:King adamantly denied having any connections to Communism, stating in a 1965 Playboy interview that "there are as many Communists in this freedom movement as there are Eskimos in Florida",
We know a great deal about Dr. King's public life from his many speeches, but we don’t know a lot about the civil rights icon’s voting record. (Indeed, he was not registered with a political party.) Was Martin Luther King, Jr. a Republican or a Democrat?
There are few definitive facts: Martin Luther King was certainly able to sway the vast majority of the black vote, and he was courteous and critical to both Republicans and Democrats. He never officially endorsed a party or a candidate.
The closest Dr. King came to an endorsement was his harsh criticism of Barry Goldwater in 1964 (thus, a nod toward Lyndon Johnson) – Goldwater had voted against the Civil Rights Act. However, Martin Luther King also spoke out against the Vietnam War, and thus, Johnson. It’s complex.
Dr. King’s political leanings were probably influenced a great deal by his father, Martin Luther King, Sr. – who was a noted Republican.
http://rantrave.com/Rant/Was-Martin-Luther-King-A-Republican.aspx
in the Senate, only 69 percent of Democrats (46 for, 21 against) voted for
the Civil Rights Act as compared to 82 percent of Republicans
In the House of Representatives, 61 percent of Democrats (152
for, 96 against) voted for the Civil Rights Act... Republicans, 80 percent
(138 for, 34 against) voted for it.
It's still amazes me that DUmmies can hold themselves in such high esteem...but I suppose the general ignorance helps. ::)

3. Hell, I don't know I don't believe I could stomach watching that sorry piece of dog shit long enough to tell you whether or not you've figured him out.
And I'm not real good at analysis. I can't even figure out why our cat takes a dump on the floor right next to his litter box about once a week.
Even your cat disrespects you.

Could be because you let the litter box get so filthy the cat decided you could clean it off the floor! DoucheBag!

Translation: Nurse Ratchet only allowed Mr. Roger's Neighborhood reruns in the psycho ward.
