Late last year, "1210: The Big Talker" a/k/a WPHT 1210 AM announced that they'd be doing a slight format change in the talk radio they present to Philadelphia and South Jersey. Just like a light switch, their format changed on New Year's Day and the station dropped Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity in favor of local guys Michael Smerconish and Dom Giordano...more

Don't know the other guy, but Smerconish is a limp-wristed psuedo-republican that occasionally fills in for other national hosts (he used to do O'Reilly's show when he was on radio). He stated on-air that he was voting for Obama if that gives you any indication......

Glenn was also taken off 710 WOR due to poor ratings. I'm not a Glenn Beck fan so it doesn't bother me.

I guess that radio station can enjoy lower ratings.
