Start with this, then agree or disagree...

My picks for this weekend:
Saints
Colts
Eagles
Ravens
-
Geaux Saints!
That is all.
:cheersmate:
-
I'm a Seahawks fan. I hope they win. Having said that, they're probably going to get slaughtered.
At least it's hockey season so I'll have something to watch afterward.

If they lose, I'll buy you an Abita. :whatever:
-
Saints are starting to look like the Packers in Terms of RB's though. Bush and Ivory (a big blow) now on IR? Not good. The question is can they overcome with just a stellar passing game? Against the Hawks? Heck yes they can!
And really, Sparky? The Iggles?! You disappoint me.

Sounds tasty.

It's a dill, pickle.

Eagles???
Boi, don't even
Packers baby. You watch
-
All the experts are saying so.
Go Ravens! Go J-E-T-S!!
-
Seattle up by 2 TD's late in the 3rd? Birds falling from the skies?
These are all signs, I'm tellin ya...

Guess the Maya were off by a couple years.
Not that I'm complaining. I'm glad to see the Hawks doing well.

My pick for next week: whoever is playing the Seahawks. :lmao:
-
Yup. The Seahawks STUNNED!!!
-
Damnit.
-
They should have NEVER had to play that subpar team in Seattle. They were the UConn of the NFL.
-
Not much defense in that game. What a shocker.
GO JETS!!
-
Damnit.
I weep Rebel. At least I won't have to go through the depression of having my team play the Superbowl in my home town without me being there.
-
^ Woul.d have been a hell of a blast. Sorry, Tots...
The Game of the Week is just minutes away, GO PACK, GO!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Eagles lose! :cheersmate:
The only way it could be better is if the Giants and the Redskins also lost.
-

Ummm . . . IIRC, neither the Giants nor the Redskins made it to the Playoffs, so by default, it is better.
J! E! T! S! JETS! JETS! JETS!
Two grudge matches on tap next week in the AFC . . .

I wonder if Vick will be looking for a homeless dog to take his anger out on.

I'll root for the Ravens, and the Pats. Sorry BSS. I've just always liked the Pats. Should be a hell of a game though.

Sat. 1/15 4:30 PM EST NBC
Baltimore at Pittsburgh
Sat. 1/15 8:00 PM EST FOX
Green Bay at Atlanta
Sun. 1/16 1:00 PM EST FOX
Seattle at Chicago
Sun. 1/16 4:30 PM EST NBC
New York Jets at New England
My picks:
Home teams down the line. Only possible upsets MIGHT be Ratbirds and Packers.
-
SSDD for the Eagles. :hammer: :hammer: :argh: :argh: An no McNabb to scapegoat... what on earth will people say now???
-
April can't come soon enough.
-
Bad news - my #2 team, Philadelphia, lost.
Good news - my #1 team, Green Bay, won.
-
How I'd LOVE to see the Hawks upset Da Beers! If we were to beat Atlanta then, wouldn't the NFC Championship be a home game for us? :-)

The Packers are the #6 seed. No home games, regardless. If I were a Packers fan, I'd rather see them face the Bears, whom they beat last game, rather than travel halfway across the country to play a team on a win streak with a hostile fan base.
-
Tue, but the Bears will have bad blood. I absolutely hate playing a team (especially a rival) with bad blood. They have something to prove, and I don't want to face a team that's THAT hungry.
-
Divisional rivals are always brutal games, regardless of their respective records. It's more likely that Seattle caught lightning in a bottle then they'll really have what it takes to win the conference. The Pack should crush the Seahawks.
-
Personally, I'd rather face a Bears team with a headcase QB and an offensive coordinator who is predictable on his play-calling for down and distance and not a team that has won 3 straight big games including one at New Soldier Field, is coming home to a rowdy home crowd and is an outpost of a city. But, that's just me. Any game in the playoffs will be a deathmatch no matter whether a divisional rival or what.
It's a moot point anyway, because the Bears cruise with the defense starting to stride. :-)
-

Too bad the Pack is playing Atlanta.
-
May be the G&G blood running through my veins, but I don't care. I'm not counting them out.

:thatsright:
They're still gonna win.

Saints
Colts

Ravens
Damn. You suck.

I can see the NFC Championship from my house. :-)

...and you pull for? What, the f'n Broncos? :lmao:

Bitter Panthers fan, maybe?

Doubt it. Anyone that thought the Panthers were going to make it are still stuck at a mental institution thinking Sky Lab crashed into the WTC.
-
I'd say I think the Packers defense are going to kill Matt Ryan, but would I then be under surveillance? Would the lefty talking heads lash out at me, and call me responsible?
Clay Matthews undoubtedly has a TARGET on Matt Ryan's chest for Saturday!11111!!!!!!!
-
:thatsright:
They're still gonna win.
I never would have called that -- dang, you were right.

Good job, Baltimore. Imagine what could have been if you had done something amazing like manufacture a drive in the 3rd quarter.   Turnover after turnover, a dropped TD, a dropped 1st down with 1:00 to play... just a spectacular job at clutch sucking. I see McNabb has passed the torch.
-

I'm predicting a rematch 14 years in the making. Pats/Packers in the Superbowl.

God, Red I hope so. The hype surrounding the game tonight cost me a night of sleep. I am already wishing the day away..... it's like we are playing the freakin Yankees in game 7 of the ALCS.
Kill the Jets. Slaughter the Jets. Silence the Jets. I won't be happy unless it is a blowout.

I don't think you have anything to worry about in the AFC. The Jets and the Steelers live in New England's cargo pocket. THEY are the ones who need to beat the man to be the man.

:hyper:
Rev, I'm a packer fan also and this is exciting. Rodgers kicked ass last night!

Now, I can see SuperBowl XLV from my house! :yahoo:

A rivalry as old as the NFL itself.

:afro: I just wanted an excuse to post a YouTube video.
I found this while I was looking for the Super Bowl Shuffle... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfCYZ3pks48

But oddly they have only met in the playoffs one other time, in the 1940's.
-
I was somewhat amzed to see the jets beat NE in NE.
Pats have lost three straight playoff games starting with the G men ending the perfect season.
Bears-Packers will be a classic I think.

The Packers and Bears should play in those leather helmets from the 30's.
-
Brady better come out and say he was sick last night, but he just sucked on a large scale. We have no pass rushing, Brady needs more protection (still no excuse why he couldn't find his receivers), blah blah blah. Even if they won, and kicked some Steelers' ass they would have probably lost to the Packers in the SB, which is far worse than getting picked off in the playoffs.
The Jets really sucked last night also, however the Pats sucked more. The Steelers are going to the SB. How the hell did that happen?
-
The Steelers are going to the SB. How the hell did that happen?
Baltimore grabbed their ankles and said "come hither."
-
Steelers are not a lock.
Jets beat two potential hall of fame QBs to get to teh championship.
I see that game as even money.

They beat my Colts.... :bawl:

I know how it is, I'm a Giants fan, i have to listen to those annoying jets fans.

Bizarro weekend for football. Sickens me they have a shot at #6.
-
The playoffs really aren't going as expected at all. Biggest surprise was that Pats-Jets game. With the way the Patriots had been playing as of late I thought they would take it this year.

Meh, I am over it now.

The problem is so did they.

I think Cutler's about due for a crappy 4 pick game. :-)

#7, actually. Steelers have 6 rings already.

GO PACK GO!!!
-
GO PACK GO!!!
They are doing really good. They could very well be in the Super Bowl.
-
Do Ptarmigans like Green Bay Packers?
-
I'm reading the New York Post article on "10 QUESTIONS Jets must answer to win AFC title" right now. They are:
1) How did the Jets beat the Steelers four weeks ago, and what kind of factor will that be in this game?
2) How big of an advantage is home field for the Steelers?
3) How will Santonio Holmes be received by Pittsburgh, and could he be the difference?
4) How much does Troy Polamalu change the Steelers' defense?
5) What's the injury story?
6) Beyond Big Ben, which Steeler is most likely to break Jets' hearts?
7) What's the deal with the Jets' special teams?
8) Which Steeler is going to be locked down by Darrelle Revis?
9) Can the Jets run on the Steelers?
10) Can Mark Sanchez beat another superstar QB?

Jay Cutler is a little puss.

More like a big, fat, teary eyed puss.
