Putting their own asses on the line to shield Coptic Christians:
“Although 2011 started tragically, I feel it will be a year of eagerly anticipated change, where Egyptians will stand against sectarianism and unite as one,†Father Rafaeil Sarwat of the Mar-Mina church told Ahram Online. The Coptic priest was commenting on the now widespread call by Muslim intellectuals and activists upon Egyptian Muslims at large to flock to Coptic churches across the country to attend Coptic Christmas Eve mass, to show solidarity with the nation's Coptic minority, but also to serve as "human shields" against possible attacks by Islamist militants.

I'd buy 'em a beer if they weren't Muslim.

I'm right there with ya SGT.
-
Nice to hear something good out of that region.
-
Yeah, I'll buy em a beer, but drink it for them. It is nice to hear something good though.
-
Good on them. More please.

Oh yes they will drink it and visit Tittie Bars, they believe Allah will forgive them as this is part of their plan to confuse the enemy and kill them in the name of Allah when the time is right.

This is what a true repudiation of terrorism looks like, not the BS "We don't support THOSE muslims" that comes from the mouths of some "moderate" muslims

I just don't know Docstew, I hear this from the mouths of the Mormons that do not support the polygamous break aways, I hear this from Southern Baptist when asked about the groups that handle snakes, and lately the Catholic Church that does not support Voodoo practices
In the above cases the polygamous believe they are Mormon, the Snake handlers believe they are Baptists, the voodoo practitioners believe they are Catholic.
Sort of like the Christian faith that believe that a Catholic is not Christian and the Catholics that consider Protestants to be cults.
-
The hell? Snakehandlers generally considered themselves Pentecostal or Church of God, not Baptist. As for Voodoo, I don't know what orifice you pulled that out of. As for Mormonism, well, I'll hold my tongue.

Haiti has some big problems with the high honcho priest of Voodoo, seems that the voodoo priests are being slaughtered in that region.
Check out Brownsville Texas, Louisiana and anywhere there is a big influx of people from the Islands and Central America. Santeria is moving North, interesting that the practitioners will die believing they are Catholic.
Interesting study for those interested in why in Little Cuba in Miami the court house steps have to be swept of dead chickens and feathers before a trial of someone that is Cuban, American or not.-----Check out Yoruba Africa where this came about with the slave trade and how the slaves intergrated their faith with Christianity.

Vesta, Voodoo IS a religion. It has nothing to do with Catholicism.
-
It's nice to see Muslims stand up for "people of the Book," so to say.
Good on them. Their reward will be great in Heaven, IMO.
-
This is SUCH a poignant demonstration of true bravery and religious tolerance. May their Allah reward them.

Yup, it is. It is from West Africa.

It is very influential in Haiti.
