Developing: Robert Gibbs is stepping down as the chief spokesman for the White House to become an outside adviser to the president and his re-election campaign, Fox News has confirmed.
Gibbs' departure from the briefing room podium is part of a broader shakeup in President Obama's senior leadership team as the White House pivots to deal with a new reality in Washington.

Finally!
I figured he would have stepped down after a year.
-
I know he's glad to go. Can't imagine ali the BS he put up with trying to explain obama's **** ups. He looked lost most of the time.
-
His replacement has already been named...someone more credible, with a great deal of previous experience in communicating the affairs of an embattled administration:

He's been hanging around waiting for this moment to arrive.

He wasn't even a good liar. Half the time he looked like a deer caught in the headlights.

And the other half of the time he avoided a direct answer to the question.
-
Remember how smug he was in the early days? I can still hear him answer a question with 'we won'. Ugh.
-
Where do I apply for his job? If Gibbs got that job, clearly anyone can do it.
-
Bagdad Bob was supposed to be some big-time Democrat operative before he became WH spokesman - at the time he got the job, the MSM was swooning over how "smart" and glib Gibbs was. I'm surprised he lasted this long.
-
Good Riddance.
Goodbye, good riddance and farewell, creepy guy.
