I'm tired of Obama. I'm tired of the New Democrats. I'm tired of DLC. I'm tired of Blue Dogs.

It's time to make our own hope and change.
Yes, you can do it. Start doing so by organizing at the local level.
Use Democracy for America's (Dean's organization) blueprints to help organize on the local level.
Once we get a new batch of great and true progressive Democrats ready to take on the new level and remove the establishment Dems who forgot the people that they are representing.
By the year 2031, I want to see the death of Republican Party, DLC, Third Way, New Democrats, and go FDR style Democrat. That is the kind of Democratic representative that we desperately NEED for our future and our children's future.
We need to turn it around.
You sit on your butt and whine here in DU - I'm writing letters to my party and asking how we can turn this thing around and go full nuclear on those whiny pathetic excuse of Democrats that are sitting in Congress right now.
If you have a serious issue with my thinking, then I suggest that we debate rationally on how we need to start from scratch.
Thanks!

Thing is, with Obama going the way he was, and is predicted to do in these last two years of his term, he'll be the death of the Democrat Party for the next 20 years.

MEMORANDUM
Date: January 2, 2011
To: Skins, Chief Executive Officer, Skins's island
From: franksolich, your fellow alum
Re: the retarded cross-eyed Iowa primitive, "Hawkeye-X"
In case it missed your attention, sir--and yes, the primitives can be a handful, keeping track of them--the cross-eyed Iowa primitive disparaged 0bama and the Democrats--right there on Skins's island.
Which is ostensibly a bannable offense.
I also remind you that the cross-eyed Iowa primitive last week swam over to Pitcairn Island, where he lowered the average quality of that membership by joining, and that his first posts disparaged both your person and your real-estate, and that he vowed to withhold his magnanimous financial support from Skins's island.
The same day, the cross-eyed Iowa primitive posted on an obscure fringe left-wing message board comments of a similar nature, again trashing Skins's island and its administration.
It's of course up to you, sir, what sort of action you take, but you do need to be aware of this.
your humble servant and always your friend,
franksolich

Did you really send that to him, Coach?

Did you really send that to him, Coach?
I'm hoping my fellow alum sees it here.
Skins does read franksolich, once in a while.
However, I will if someone gives me my fellow alum's e-mail address.
The link to it on Skins's island compels me to use my real e-mail, and I'd just as soon use my clarebootheluce@gmail. com address, so he knows it's me.
-
Didn't know he read you at all, actually. I always got the impression that he would NEVER ever even dare set keyboard here.
Well, I hope he reads that, but if not, I hope on all that is good, and conservative that you get his e-mail somehow, and send it. Would love to know what (if any) the reaction is.

Why not just cut and paste this address: skinner@democraticunderground.com into the address field on your gmail account?
-
This thread got locked, Hawkeye-X started another one, it was also locked, and then someone else started a "I support Hawkeye-X" thread that I don't even see now.
And apparently, three DUmmies were TSed, but as I'm not registered there, I can't see who. :rotf:

Thank you, sir; I'm doing that right now.
I never claimed to be the brightest bulb in the room; every time I wanted to e-mail the administrators there, it opened up my Outlook Express mail, and I didn't want that.
And so I just figured, "okay, can't do that," and went on to something else.
I'll let you know if clarebootheluce gets a response, but I wouldn't say the odds are good.

Okay, done, sent.

You know, an idea just occurred to me.
I'm going to become a stool-pigeon for Skins, reporting misbehaving primitives.

Well, of course one has to use discretion, judgement, here.
For example, I wouldn't call the anti-0bamaites "misbehaving," because they have the long-term interests of Skins's island at heart. So in other words, no, I wouldn't report any inhabitants of Pitcairn Island.
(By the way, franksolich just learned that at 6'3" tall, he would tower over their boy over there by 10"; for some reason I always thought the Allentown dude was a tall guy.)
It'd be a case-by-case stool-pigeoning, and the cross-eyed Iowa primitive, who's riding the disability gravy train using a counterfeit ticket, is a good case. And also the rich kid the grazing primitive, who's an 0bamaite stealth infiltrator among the non-0bamaites.
Those, I'd rat on, no qualms at all--and it helps Pitcairn Island, too, by weeding out the riff-raff.
<<doing it as a public service.

I H5ed you as well, for your last line in your post. I think that it's important for him to see just how the other primitives deliberately flaunt--or is it flout?--the rules over there. Maybe by doing so, he'll understand just how much money he loses from that activity going on.

The Dummies are tired of any "Democrat" that doesn't have the same belief system of Che...Hugo Chavez or Joseph Stalin.
Until they can install the second coming of one of those dictators in the White House...NONE of the DUmmies will ever be happy.

Frank, I love these. You really are the best!!
I just checked; no answer from my fellow alum yet, but probably expecting one is too much to expect.
But whatever; I'm a nice guy, and seek to be helpful.
There were nine gmails from Pitcairn Island, but as I got nothing against Pitcairn Island and their cause (to marginalize the 0bamaite zombies on Skins's island), I'll read them later.
But they really need to pay more attention to some of their immigrants from Skins's island; there's a couple there who are not good for them.
Their problem seems to be, "well, we share the same ideology, and so therefore, they're okay."
Ummmm......one recalls Fat Che.
That's the difference between them and us; people come here all the time, professing (or pretending to believe in) values much like our own, but we're still skeptical. Just because they're Republican or conservative doesn't mean they're nice people. We vett each other pretty good, and I think it would be good if the Pitcairn Islanders did the same thing.....and then they'd be minus two vipers in their bosom.
During the middle of the night, I finally figured out why, that the Allentown dude is a shorty, bothers me.
Now, we all agree that size does not a man make; of course not.
Their boy is a rather remarkable person, hardly lacking in merit, and with some impressive accomplishments (despite what he might think; we know better), and many of his problems, unlike the problems of primitives, can be linked to simple plain old-fashioned bad luck; he just happened to be the wrong guy in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Excresence happens.
Anyway, why that bothered me, knowing their boy is altitudinally-challenged--information gotten from his own mouth, with no prompting or inquiry from franksolich--is because that single fact explains a great deal about him, and really, I prefer people a great deal more complicated and enigmatic than that,
It's much more fun, the more pieces a puzzle has.
-
You be careful on your trip, Coach.
Not going on a trip, sir.
Going to have pieces of my face, neck, and shoulders removed.
Not to worry; it's, uh, rather routine for me anymore. It always ends well.
I'll be back maybe Wednesday evening, but more likely sometime during the day Thursday.
You'll know I'm back when you see "Mrs. Alfred Packer does Christmas" launched here.

With all these post from the cross eyed primitive, you would think the moderators would take some sort of action towards him or at least, tell him to tone it down a bit?

I just dropped in for a minute tonight, as I'm, uh, pretty grouchy and ill-tempered.
It went fine, in outpatient late this morning, all done with that part.
A few stitches here and there--five--but most just red spots on the skin and some bandages.
But it still takes me about three days to get over the vile evil temper it always puts me in, and so I'm still away--other than a daily "check-in"--until at least Wednesday, more likely Thursday.
And then ten days from now, there's the thighs and the legs.

Oh my, I wish you the best, Frank, in whatever you are going through. It sounds quite more serious than just your deafness. My prayers sent for you. Talk to us, your pals by PM, if you want. We're here for ya!
My best wishes to you and a big :blowkiss:

Oh now.
It has to be a handicap, if one has to stand on tip-toes to see what's on the kitchen-counter.
Anyway.
You and I being the same height, sir, we both understand short men.
(I dunno about you, but for me, any adult male under 6' tall is "short".)
It drives me nuts, the chips on their shoulders.
One is always compelled to rap the knuckles on top of their heads, commenting, "Okay, okay, I'm sure it's a nuisance that you have to use a stepladder to reach anything in the middle of the dining room table, and have to sit atop six enormous dictionaries to drive a motor vehicle, and I feel for you, bud, but hey, size does not a man make. Some of my best friends are midgets. No one's challenging your manhood. Accept, adapt, and move on."
My father was 6" tall exactly, as were my older brothers and my younger brother. I added three inches perhaps because of my diet heavy in dairy products; milk (the whole stuff, none of this diluted stuff) is man's best friend.
Dutch and Danish males are the tallest males (on "average") in Europe; we don't have hardly any silver-skating Hans Brinkers here in Nebraska, but we are a little heavy on those of Danish derivation, probably the largest plurality of them in all the 50 states. Among Nebraskan males, I make it, but just barely, into the "tall" category; I recall that when living in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, it did seem that I was usually a head taller than most, when in a crowd.
In other words, out here, I'm considered tall, but not remarkably so. A tad little bit taller than average, but not enough to make it extraordinary, or worth commenting upon.
But that doesn't mean franksolich considers a dwarf a mere 5'5" tall to be any less of a man than he is.
Anyway.
The head and neck and shoulders are still tender and sore, but nothing unusual.
And I'm still in a bitchy, crabby, glum, saturnine mood.
However, as in the past, it's passing. I'll be back either Wednesday later in the day, or Thursday early in the day; look for "Mrs. Alfred Packer does Christmas," to notice when franksolich has ambled out of the gloom.

One of the most striking memories I have of my first visit to Japan was rush hour in Shinjuku Station, probably the busiest commuter terminal in the world, looking out over a literal sea of coal black hair. You become accustomed to it after awhile, but the first time it's a shocking sight.

I'm tired of Obama, the New Democrats, and the DLC, too.
I'm also tired of the old Democrats and their "I don't belong to any political party and think they're all crooks but I vote Democrat and support leftist social causes all of the time" shills.
I'm tired of liberals on Facebook and elsewhere making tired old references to Bush's flaws and mistakes when there's a new president in the White House with a whole slew of flaws and mistakes to address that never get any attention from them. I'm also tired of the clueless liberals who sneer down their upturned noses at regular folks who like to wave American flags and accuse us of hiding behind patriotism because we know nothing about civics, yet they vote for Democrats and support their proven failures, time and again.
I'm tired, too. Effing tired. That's why I voted Republican this past election.

As usual Coach you have a way of explainin' exactly what's on most of our minds!
I have run into "little man syndrome" many times in my life. Most of them tend to beat women and end up with a broken nose when I have anything to do with it. The worst was a BIL when I was just a young lad. He was about 3 years my senior. Every time he got a buzz he wanted to confront me. I lost count of the number of times I stomped a mud puddle in his ass, yet he would do it over and over again, never learning it was going to be the only outcome.
Not sayin' the "jerk" has this tendency, but I have to admit, he has the attitude!

I had no idea the Allentown Jerk was that tiny - I'm over two inches taller than he is, "compensation"?
Frank, hope it all goes well. Hawkeye X was over at the tree earlier this morning, he was TS'd at the DUmp.
I just checked with clarebootheluce; no response from my fellow alum Skins regarding the retarded cross-eyed Iowa primitive, but then and again, I really didn't expect one.
If Skins had acknowledged my message to him, the primitives would be up in arms, claiming my fellow alum is in franksolich's pocket, and does what franksolich tells him to do.
That wouldn't look good for my fellow alum, and so by not responding to me, he's done the right thing.
Thus is Skins's honor preserved, and franksolich gets what he wants.
Just so long as he does what franksolich asks him to do, I'm happy.
Now it's up to the Pitcairn Islanders to do what they need to do.
As for the first comment, madam, I could never get this "short man" mentality, and for some reason, women don't seem to be afflicted with it. Women seem to be happy no matter what height they are.
The record clearly shows that franksolich has nothing but respect and admiration for most men, no matter their height. I point to the example of my story about my great-grandfather, who was all of 33" tall and whom, I hope to God in telling his story, I described him as he actually was, larger than life, more of a man than most men.
I always wanted to do a story on my late Uncle Lido, the only Italianate graft on my family tree, the husband of a sister of my mother. But alas I was never destined to know Uncle Lido, who was just under 5' tall.
One of the photographs I have of him clearly shows this was a guy one wouldn't want to mess with, even if one had 15" of height over him. He looks as if simply by looking at a leg, he'd break it. And that's a photograph of him being laid back and mellow, in a good mood, having a good time.
But for lack of information about him, I'm compelled instead to write about people about whom I know more, such as Mrs. Alfred Packer.....

How ya doin' Coach? Is it gettin' better? I know my Nana was a real "she bear" when she had that shit done! It was the only time she smoked my cigarettes in the 20 years after she quit!

Oh, I'm out of sorts, and actually, more out of sorts today, than I had been yesterday.
It's under control, though; the cats have been misbehaving at various times, but it's under control enough that even though the patience is worn thin, the cats remain unharmed and at ease.
This all goes back to my "God has a sense of humor" thing, in which one is reminded to not be too proud.
For years and years and years I prided myself in taking vigorous measures so as to avoid the problems of the parents and siblings, the ailments and afflictions of a too-easy, too soft, too comfortable, life, leading to their alas premature demises. I prided myself in being smarter than them.
But then God intervenes with a sense of humor, and much to my dismay and vexation, despite that I've been "good" and done all the "right" things, presents me with something which which they never had to deal.
Thus are the wages of arrogance, but one can't help being oneself.
-
We don't mind your arrogance. Actually, it's quite helpful, since you are, at the same time, humble. Keep yourself relaxed, and pleased, frank. We're all here for you, sir.
