Massachusetts Cop Was Killed by Career Criminal Out on Parole Despite Three Life Sentences
The Massachusetts Parole Board is under scrutiny after a local police officer was killed by a career criminal who was released despite serving a term of three concurrent life sentences.
Dominic Cinelli was serving time for shooting a security guard during an armed robbery to feed his heroin addiction when he told the board in November 2008 that he was a changed man, the Boston Globe reported.
Four months later the board unanimously voted to free Cinelli, but police say the 57-year-old returned to his ugly ways Sunday, fatally shooting Woburn police officer John Maguire, 60, while robbing a Kohl's department store. Cinelli also died in the shootout.

Three life sentences and they let him out? Seriously? :censored:

That's MA for you. Bunch of libtards. Such an upside down, backwards way of thinking. It's sickening.
You should see how many DUI drivers get out and repeat over and over and over again. STUPIDITY! :argh:
-
That piece of shit that killed the GA Trooper also had 18 mugshots.
-
It's quite sad that he took someone with him but, at least he won't be a danger anymore.
I hope the officer's family files a lawsuit against MA for this. Maybe then they won't be so quick to let scum like him out.

Cinelli also died in the shootout.
For all the tragedy and parole board stupidty in this story, at least there was one bright spot.

We have: Dead Ted and the rest of the drunkards, perverts, and assholes of the Kennedy clan have amply demonstrated that getting caught drunk in Massive-two-shits isn't even a "slap on the wrist" offense. I think vehicular manslaughter also falls into that category, but that could be only if your last name starts with a "K" and ends in "ennedy".

And formerlurker wonders why I bag on MA so hard.

Slain officer's brother 'ecstatic' about Parole Board shakeup
WOBURN -- The brother of slain Woburn Police Officer John "Jack" Maguire said today he was "ecstatic" to learn of the shakeup announced today at the Massachusetts Parole Board.
Governor Deval Patrick today announced sweeping changes at the board, including the resignations of five board members and a prison official who had been the agency's executive director, after an inquiry into how career criminal Domenic Cinelli was released in 2008. Authorities say Cinelli fatally shot John Maguire after a botched department store robbery on the day after Christmas.
Patrick said he was also moving to terminate and discipline several employees of the parole office and that he would press for legislation that would toughen penalties for repeat offenders.
The Massachusetts Parole Officers' Association said the union "remains steadfast in support of our two members targeted for termination in this matter."

Heard about this earlier today. Brought a smile to my face. :-)

This quote left me less than ecstatic...
Prisoners' Legal Services also issued a statement, saying no parole board could guarantee that people would not recidivate.

**** the public, **** the victims. We're gonna look out for ours. Keep reminding me why I loathe liberals the way I do.

But yup, the death penalty is cruel and unusual and can't ever be used ::)
