I saw that.
Too say I would be pissed is an understatement, if that were my SUV. :fuelfire:

The best comment I read while watching this was 'Imagine being at the bottom of a 23-story canyon with people hanging out of windows yelling at you.'
After the insurance settlement, this will probably be the most expensive Ford Explorer ever built.

Blue state Union civil servants at their best.

What's sad is that the tractor driver doesn't seem to show a care in the world as to the damage he had done. Typical Government employee attitude, "screw it, the City will pay for it"...... I hope that 'tard loses his job over this. However, I'm sure there's a Union boss somewhere that will stand up for him.

Yup. Exactly.

I'd love to be the owner of the car...then go after the city for damages and such.

Why ?? The best anyone would get from the city is reimbursement for a rental and damages. The vehicle was unoccupied, so can't claim any injuries or the like.

Un ****ing believeable. The worse part is that jackwagons probably going to keep his job,get a raise and a promotion.

Why the heck wouldn't he have chains on that? For all their weight, those outfits aren't good at going through much snow. My kids would have handled that better.

Just goes to show people exactly how unprepared NYC was even with advanced warning. Bloomberg's incompetency reigns supreme.

Hopefully they have insurance, because their insurance carrier will chase the city for years on their subrogration claim. The tractor operator knows this and is laughing his ass off over it.
I have to say though, that if there was a winter parking ban on this street then the owner is violating that, and his vehicle is parked illegally. Not sure what the NY law says about that, but he may have no claim at all for damages.

Ya know...
...if we had more SUVs there would be more global warming so the SUVs wouldn't be damaged by snow clearing operations.
People just aren't thinking outside the box.

Turns out the the SUV was a city vehicle. So, the front-end loader didn't give doubly two-shits about damage. No skin off his nose. Looked like he was drunk. But, unlike Twixvoy, he won't get fired due to his union protection. I'm so sick and bloody tired of unions. We need a national backlash.

In NY, you better believe it.
