Hey, let's blame the Republicans! In this rather boring thread, the DUmmies ClarkUSA and tekisui fight about the funding needed to close Club Gitmo without, of course, mentioning that it's really the democrats who have stopped it from closing.

Gibbs: 'It's going to be a while' before Gitmo prison is shut down
Obama is looking for Republican cooperation to help close the prison. Surely the Republicans will act in good faith. :sarcasm:
ClarkUSA, an Obama supporter no matter what, talks about Obama's "magic wand." It apparently has stopped working thanks to the tea party crowd, or something.

With teabagging Obama-hating Republican Failers in control of the House for the next two years, I'd say Gibbs is absolutely correct. After all, President Obama does not possess a magic wand with which he can release Treasury monies just because that's what he wants. Only Congress can do that. Some people don't seem to understand this simple fact of how our government works, unfortunately.
Methinks the DUmmies are just jealous because the Club Gitmo detainees live, sleep, and eat better than most of them.

for al Qaeda, which has been the case for years and remains the case. I only wish Gibbs would've pointed out that DEMS. in Congress are ALSO not allowing Gitmo to be closed.

Of course it's a recruiting tool for Alqaeda. Just imagine, some goat herder in the middle of the stans hear's about a place named Club Gitmo where the US takes Al Qaeda members when it catches them. He also hears that despite some occasional questioning, he gets three hots and a cot, and a free Koran without having to work for it. He probably heads to the nearest recruiter as fast as he can after that.

Obama said he would close it within a year. It isn't closed after 2 years. Obama cannot tell a lie. It must be the republicans fault.

Well, if these asshats want to close it down, I have a suggestion! Just line up all these towel heads against the wall and execute them! The only reason it's there is because you mamby pamby types want to extend our constitutional rights to enemy combatants!
If we could do like all sane Americans want, we would extract what info we could get from these murderin' thugs and send them to Allah!
Think of all the money we would save and be able to send to Bobo the Hobo!
