Anyone of you ever be an eye wittness to something really odd, the cops are called and nothing is reported about it in the news.??
Like this little story of small town life here where the police on a drop a dime found a 73 year old woman and grandson making Meths in her 3 rd. floor apartment, in a senior citizen complex.
Shit did not hit the fan until the name of the apartment complex was given out to reporters.
The Realtors Associan went totally bug crap and claimed that giving the address and Apt. number could mean the landlords would have to spend thousands of dollars to have a toxic wast company come in and remove damage done by the fumes. No way could they just go in replace carpets and paint walls, then rent the apartment out in 30 days. Now prospective renters would expect to see certification that the health of the renters was not compromised by fumes in the walls or ceiling.
The cost to clean out those noxious fumes could run into the thousands and anyone abutting the apartment could demand their apartments be inspected.
What to do-----Somhow someone put a heavy fist on the news and now if there is any mention of a rental with problems it is only by word of mouth that warns--don't rent there.
This seems to cover apartments with bad mold problems sewage issues.
The reason I brought this up is an acquaintance of mine told me of a problem at his complex. The ground floor apartments were about $70.00 a month extra from the 2-3 floor apartments because they came with a private full basement with outside bulk heard door. The basements were dry private and perfect for a playroom for the kids or familyroom and office set up.
The family put an office down there and one day their 18 year old son began to complain about a weird smell and head aches. His parents also picked up the smell and headaches and the father went next day to the neighbor to ask if they noticed any smell from his cellar, the neighbor told him no so the father went to the other apartment to ask them, they only used their cellar for storage and when they opened the cellar door ---they got a big whiff of something. They also mentioned that for a few weeks everyone in the family seemed to have headaches when they got up in the morning.
Both men went together to the Realtors office to complain and within an hour the cops arrived and dragged the tenant who smelt nothing off and away.
Not one word in the papers about this, whatever was in the apartment and cellar was cleaned out by the police.
New tenants moved in, totally unaware of the goings on a month before they arrived. The 2 tenants with the smell moved out as fast as they could, I do hope no one starts a day care service at any of those 3 apartments.

Actually my daughter won't date sub sailors active or inactive, she says they remind her of her father and she would rather date Marines that stand and fight not hide under water.
It goes like this, in a home invasion a Marine will kick the shit out of anyone to defend her. A sub sailor will jump into a full tub of water sink to the bottom and hope the bad dudes will go away. :fuelfire: :fuelfire: :fuelfire:

I don't suppose you have a link for any of this hyperbole now do you Vesta? As an eye witness report this seems to lack the "I" making it more a bouncy and a bad one at that. Anyone got the bouncy format thread on speed post so Vesta can review the rudimentary requirements?

Come on, Vesta. Sailors still protect our country too. Marines, Air Force, Navy, Army, Coast Guard, Police, Fireman, EMT's... who cares? They all get equal respect from me.
