Title: Doug Ferrari sighting
Post by: BannedFromDU on December 18, 2010, 10:58:00 AM
I was in the Bay Area on business last week, and while I was in my hotel room, catching up on the DUmp, a news story
came on TV. It was about a comedian visiting a homeless shelter. Lo and behold, it was none other than Doug Ferrari.
Part of the story was that he was once homeless, too. I have to say, anyone who has the sense to up and leave a crazy
c*** like Beth can't be completely insane, but nevertheless the guy looked TERRIBLE. Like a druggie.

My guess is that he wasn't playing the homeless shelter as a kind act, but was instead looking for a free meal.

Anyway, that's my brush with the DUmp.

Well now, don't be too unkind to Doug's stupid ex-wife's ex-husband.

The guy went through a lot, remember.

I mean, having been married to a likely top primitive of 2010, he suffered a lot--and it's always better to pay for one's sins in this world, rather than in the next.

I just wonder what Beth's drunken calls to him sound like...begging him to come back to her. I wonder how often herlittle missives mention Hugo Chavez. Heh.

Wow I didn't know DUmmy Beth was married to someone semi-famous.  She is mentioned by name in this article...

Wait a minute. Is he back with Beth?

Quote
"I always call Doug my hero," says his wife, Beth, who helps book and arrange the cafe performances. "He fought so hard to get his life back, and now those old days seem like a long time ago."

Puffing on a cigarette, the one vice Ferrari allows himself from the old days, the big man smiles. "Hey, I think it means we're happy," he says. "Pretty amazing, huh?"

He puts an arm around his wife, stares at the ground, and then looks up, serious for once. "This is what really counts," he says quietly.

OMG, he is.

BadCat and I've suspected that Doug's stupid ex-wife tried to control him too much.

She is after all a great manipulator.

And so when he was falling apart again in 2005-2006, without understanding what the situation was, he just knew it was a bad situation that he had to get out of, and so he left.

Doug Ferrari would need a huge, Tonight-Show-caliber break before he could rise to the level of semi-famous. He was just a coke-snorting, alcoholic, comedy club standup, whose entire repertoire was vulgar jokes about George W. Bush. That schtick is getting old, even out there in Sodomy City.

The camel's back that broke the straw: Beth claimed he tossed her unabridged dictionary into the fireplace.

Ah, yes.

And that photograph, "Impeachment at the Beach."

Remember that?

They had to spread out the beach towels to make it look as if there was bigger participation than there was.
