Just so you asshats know...you can quit the moronic meme about Rush brainwashing us and having a monopoly on talk radio on AFN.
While I was away in Afghanistan...the radio side has launched "Powernet"...which has three of the nuttiest Libtards to ever fall from the Democrat party tree on the air. Randi Rhodes...Thom Hartmann and Ed Schultz.
That's in addition to a full range of MSNBC programming like Special Keith and Meaty Fingers Maddow...CNN...AP...NPR and PBS.
So from here on out you're meme that Rush is hogging the airwaves of military radio is OVER.
You can take that meme...shine that sumbitch up...turn it sideways...and stick it straight up YOUR CANDY ASS!!!

H5 Well done.
-
Blechhh....our servicemen and women deserve so much better. Talk about sanctioning torture!
One guest is viewing here; perhaps it's a DUmmie who'll row it back over.

Remember how Rush got on AFN in the first place? I do. I was there.
The Stars and Stripes included a cut-out ballot listing talk radio programs available stateside that could be added to the AFN roster. I don't remember who all was on it, but I suspect it leaned heavily toward the Howard Stern and NPR varieties.
Rush wasn't on it.
Someone had the bright idea to include a write-in blank at the bottom. Thinking "well, this won't do much good now; maybe someone will see it and start thinking about it for later" I wrote in "Rush Limbaugh", x'ed the box and sent it in.
Seems a lot of people did exactly that. Limbaugh got more votes than anyone actually printed on the ballot.
So we got...one hour of Rush. Late at night, or toodamearly in the morning.
So I rigged my stereo and VCR together to record Rush and catch it later. My roommate was amused to see me "watching" a blank screen with the radio program coming out of the speakers.

I remember quite well. Was about 1994 IRRC. During my first trip through the Army.
The left went completely ballistic. And they still are. Even though the Libtard congress critters know exactly how much of the MSM they shove down our throats.

Isn't Rush only on Armed Forces Radio 1 hour per day?

He was. But with the creation of PowerNet Radio...we get the full three hours now :cheersmate:
The downside is Rhodes...Hartman and Schultz.

I thought that's all he was on for.

Just an FYI, Rush has a gifting program that allows you to buy 24/7 memberships for service members. They sign up (or someone who knows they'd like one add their name) and people volunteer to buy a year's membership for them. That way they don't have to depend on AFR to hear the whole three hours. The show is available to them anytime they're able to access a computer.

Cool about Rush! I'm sure the Club Gitmo segments and memorabilia were a hit :lmao: I  Rush so much, even named my hound/beagle mix after him.
Here's my doggies, they're both gone now :(
Bally is on the left and Rush is on the right, of course he would be LOL:

Good gift for someone in the Military, or anyone actually.

H5 for the "right" reference and the cute dogs. My dogs are named after a potato (Spud), a dead bounty hunter (Domino), a gem (Ruby), and a woman who drove off a cliff (Louise) or the wife of a laundromat owner (Weezie), depending upon how you address her.

Me and "Toots" have been payin' for two since they started the program a coupla years back. The guys thank us at least every other month! They can't stand that Harpy Rhodes! When they found out Soros put up over a million for NPR "journalism", they and most of their buds boycotted AFR!

Gotta see if my BIL, who's a SeaBee, listens to Rush. If he doesn't, and wants to, . . . he will.

As a recipient of the Adopt-a-Soldier program Rush started...thank you for doing that.

OperationMinnesotaNice is also a good deal. It's targeted to Minnesotans now serving - but they share with all their buddies.
My pal's daughter especially liked jerky and gummie bears. They were sent separate. She is now home safe and sound!
How good is that!

Guys like we have here is the reason we do it, Tex!
They go nuts over 'Toots'" peanut butter cookies, too!

Oh puleeeeeeze! You give the DUmmies too much credit. DUmmies don't deal with facts or the truth. Tomorrow, next week, next year, and beyond they will be saying the same old thing.

I now know what to put in DH's stocking while he is down there. Thanks for the heads up!
